Yellowstone National Park is one of America’s great treasures. This full day safari will show off the highlights of this incredible place; volcanic thermal features, giant waterfalls, diverse wildlife, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and Yellowstone Lake.
Throughout the day we will drive scenic roads, walk historic boardwalks, enjoy the peace of natural landscapes and use our optics to view wildlife. Your guide is your driver, and their goal is to cover as many of Yellowstone’s famous features as they can in a day.
The guides at Yellowstone Safari Co. will make every effort to showcase as many highlights as possible, and will structure the day around making your experience a memorable one. They will take current road conditions, weather, seasonality, and your personal interests into consideration as they move through the park.

Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park, North Entrance or West Entrance Your exact route and itinerary will be determined by your interests, current wildlife sightings, and current weather and road conditions. Our guides are all highly experienced, with thousands of hours in the field, and will expertly tailor your safari to you and your group. Summer is construction season in Yellowstone National Park and sometimes this can impact our tours. Please communicate to your guide what you most wish to see in the park and your guide will do their best to navigate road closures, traffic slowdowns, and construction wait times.
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
At a depth of more than 1000ft (305m), the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River is an impressive sight. Water, wind, earthquakes and hydrothermal features have all worked together to form this area. Two waterfalls are visible from multiple vantage points, Upper Falls and Lower Falls. Our safari makes a stop here. Your guide will educate you on the historical or geological significance of the area. Our tours are customized for each departure. We may not stop here on every tour. Please communicate to your guide what you most wish to see in the park.

5.00Our tour guide Gabrielle absolutely made this a fantastic experience! We joked that she is a walking encyclopedia about the park with a great personality. We saw many popular attractions and wildlife throughout the day. We were fortunate to see a bear, wolf, golden eagle, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, elk, and tons of bison. Yellowstone Safari Company provided all the provisions we needed, including endless snacks, beverages, and lunch. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you again Gabrielle for a wonderful day. Your hospitality and knowledge was top notch!

5.00Our guide, Elena shared her knowledge of science and some of the park's relevant history. She was a very safe driver, communicative, collaborative, funny, calm and really intelligent and well spoken. Our favorites were the grand canyon of Yellowstone and seeing large wild animals though they weren't that active. The food was great. Trip worth the price.
The tour was great! Our guide Gabriel was awesome and exceeded our expectations,! She was the best!

5.00Our one day tour this winter was fantastic. This company is a class act beginning with picking us up at our airbnb in Emigrant. Our naturalist guide, Grant Johnson, was not only gracious with setting up scopes and directing us on where to look for all kinds of animals, but his passion for the environment and animals of Yellowstone are what made this tour extra special. You could tell that he truly loved his job and wanted to educate us about so many different aspects of the park, it wasn't just a pull over and take a picture, it was an experience. His in-depth knowledge about all things Yellowstone gave us a true understanding about so many things. The day was structured well and we had a wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting. The highlight of my day was short hike looking for Pygmy owls. Grant talked about animal tracks and signs and we even got to witness a coyote on the scent of something close by. Another highlight of my day was the wolf pack sighting. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour, as did my two friends. I highly recommend this tour and especially Grant as the naturalist guide.
