Join us for a half-day adventure tour exploring the Big Island from summit to sea. We offer a unique tour including hands-on artifacts, fresh fruit, historical insights, and the significance of the places we visit. We'll take you on an unforgettable journey through Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the world's most active volcano, Kilauea. You'll travel from the visitor center to Kilauea crater for panoramic views of the smoking caldera and steaming volcanic vents, and walk inside iconic Nahuku (Thurston Lava Tube). For lunch, enjoy an island-inspired meal on us at a local restaurant. Later, we'll visit Punaluʻu black sand beach (The Most Famous Black Sand Beach on the Big Island )
and discover the picture-perfect scenery of Rainbow Falls in Hilo.
Please note:
We provide pick-up & drop-off in the Hilo area only.
This tour is not wheelchair accessible and includes moderate walking, including climbing roughly 15 stairs during the lava tube tour.

Rainbow Falls
Rainbow Falls is named after the colorful rainbows that appear in the mists of its waters. Signs in the viewing area relate some interesting historical facts about the waterfall, as well as the legend of the “Battle of the Wailuku River”.

5.00Desmond and Anthony were fantastic! Learned a lot about Hawaii and visited beautiful parts of Hilo. Plus when we experienced a flat tire on our rental at the end of our journey they safely got us to a tire store to ensure we could make it back to our hotel. Wonderful experience and wonderful day!

5.00Truly a once in a lifetime experience, mark by the natural beauty of the island and our outstanding guides. The perfect combination of good food, unforgettable scenery and information about the island and its history. I really appreciated the length of the exertion. Not to mention the small groups allowing for a more personal experience. 10/10

5.00The Big Island Tour was great. It was an all day experience. We met the tour on the Hilo side of the island. Due to a google maps error on my part we were a little late getting to the pick up point. Desmond, was really great and stayed on the phone with us as we found our way to the group. Then we hit the road to Rainbow falls. It was just as beautiful as we had hoped with some really awesome trees up the path. Then we went to the Volcano park and got to see the lavatube, steam vents, and summit. Because of the storm the electricity was out at the tube but it wasn't to much of a problem. There was no lava but plenty of steam and a good geography lesson on the location by Big Mike. We went to the Lava Cafe and had a wonderful meal they payed for. Then finished off the day at the Black Sands Beach. We did get to see one sea turtle under the water and then ate a nice fruit snack. Thank you guys for sharing part of the islands secrets and history with us and providing a great day on the island!

5.00After reading the reviews that are already posted I agree with everything. We have never had a better guide than Desmond in March 2026. He is knowledgeable, helpful, kind and a great photographer. Some of our favorite pics were taken by Desmond. He knows right where to pose to get the best shots.Anthony was a superb driver and they make a good team.The restaurant lunch was unexpected. Everything looked or was delicious except my pulled pork.( Not the tours fault.I would get the fish or hamburger next time.)We were on a cruise and they were very conscious about getting us back on time. One of the highlights was Desmond explaining the eruption of Kilauea that he has witnessed and photographed. When were there it was really smoking. ! 10 days later we see on the news that it is erupting but lucky for us Desmond is also gifted in technology and could put our group photo on a former pic of his with the volcano erupting. Highlights -lava tube , volcano, rainbow falls, black sand beach with turtles. Memorable.

5.00Fantastic tour of the island - plenty to see and do. Our guides Anthony and Desmond were terrific! Each knowledgeable and entertaining. We loved the laid back vibe! Both did an amazing job pointing out the amazing sites and rich history of the land and people! Plenty of great pictures. Engaged easily with each guest! Delicious lunch and yummy snacks were provided. We had a mix of weather - rain and sunshine. Bring a light jacket or rain poncho. Wear comfortable shoes too!
