A 2-hour whale watching tour on a speedy RIB boat from the town of Húsavík, The Whale Capital of Iceland.!
The RIB boats seat a maximum of 12 passengers per boat, each with an expert whale watching guide and captain on board. Each passenger gets a warm overall, a life jacket and raincoat (if needed).
The focus is on small group tours, eliminating competition for the best view on board.

Get your warm clothes and get ready for a real adventure! The tour begins with a sail to the beautiful Skjálfandi Bay. There are many whale species that are known to be accommodated in the area. For example, the Humpback whale, the Minke whale, White-beaked dolphins, porpoises… More than 10 different species visit Skjálfandi every year! The speedy RIB boats make it more likely to have a close encounter with the giants, being able to drive huge amounts of miles in the trip. Also, with only 12 passengers or fewer on board, the competition for the best view on board is certainly eliminated. Among the places, we will visit Lundey (Puffin Island)*, known for its great amount of the popular bird. Passengers will also see the Tjörnes peninsula, known for its fossil layers with the most ancient one being two million years old! An expert whale-watching guide, a captain on board, a warm water-resistant overall suit, and a life vest are included in this trip. Bring your hat and gloves with you – the bay can be pretty cold! So, when are you joining us? *Puffin season is ca. 15th of April-20th August. Outside that time of the year, our tours are Big Whales exclusive!

5.00Great sighting of whales, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The equipment was good to cut the wind and cold air, the boat was stable despite the big waves, but most likely due to the good steering of the captain. Great close up view of the humpback whales, we moved spots a few times to find different ones. Recommended

5.00Would highly recommend the Big Whales RIB boat tour from Húsavík! Unfortunately, we did not see any puffins; however, the whales were AMAZING in the ocean to see.

5.00The experience was amazing! We saw three whales, some of them very close! In addition, the tours are very individual. Personally, I found the small groups much more pleasant than the large ships.

5.00Super safe excursion to enter the sea with a small group. The Zodiac is a pass and just for climbing is worth it. The love and respect that the animals and their profession have the guides rating to the league and the explanation very pleasant and close. I would certainly repeat. Plus we were lucky enough to see humpback whales and cauldrons. I certainly don't regret catching it in front of the boat which being somewhat cheaper has nothing to do with the experience
