Arkansas River
An amazing, full-day experience on the Arkansas River never seems long enough. Beginning in Canon City, Colorado, this Class II-III introductory whitewater trip is great for first timers and families wanting an exhilarating day of rafting in Colorado. Enjoy beautiful vistas set against the majestic Sangre De Cristo Mountain range, with varied rapids like Maytag, Five Points, Spike Buck, and Double Dip sure to leave a lasting and memorable impression. The canyon has abundant wildlife in their natural habitat, so there are plenty of viewing opportunities between the rapids, along the river's meandering banks. There are 18 miles of unforgettable whitewater to traverse. This full-day adventure includes a fresh, gourmet, deli-style lunch and plenty of opportunities to stop and swim along the way. Bring swimwear and/or synthetic, quick-dry layers, snug-fitting shoes or sandals with a heal strap, sunscreen, and sunglasses.

5.00Full day trip. Great day on the water. Mainly class 3 rapids and my 13 and 7 year old loved it. Stopped to jump off some rocks and had a great sandwich lunch half way. Saw two Bighorn Sheep too! Lawrence, our guide, was a lot of fun and made the trip memorable. Recommend

5.00We had a great time rafting with Lost Paddle. On our full day adventure everything was well planned and all the staff was friendly. Our guide, Lawrence, was tons of fun as he guided us down river, shared facts about the area, and made sure everybody had a great trip. Our full-day included lunch, which was a plentiful spread of cold cuts and cheeses for sandwiches along with fresh fruit. Lost Paddle is one of the smaller companies in the area and we liked how personal the whole experience was -- definitely recommended.

5.00I love going with smaller, independent companies. You might not get the nice, painted, custom bus, the matching gear and labeled equipment. But what you do get is personalized service, some of the best guides, people who know each customer by name. Our guide, Hunter, was amazing. He's been doing it a while and teaches swift water rescue and really knew his stuff. He guided us through a difficult 3 Rocks section safely at a high water weekend. We even saw some big horn sheep. Unfortunately, Royal Gorge was closed, but we still had a great time in Bighorn Sheep Canyon.

5.00We had so much fun! It ended up being a half day trip, but it was awesome! The grandkids had a blast! Our guide, Tyler, was stupendous! He gave the kids an experience they will never forget!

5.00The whole experience from gathering at the office till drop off was awesome. The lunch exceeded our expectations for sure. The rapids worth it! The both guides Chris and Ella were experienced and very knowledgeable and super fun. And safety was excellent!! If I do it again I would do it with them!

5.00We are very happy with our decision to go with Lost Paddle for our rafting trip. Staff were fun and professional, and the lunch provided exceeded our expectations. The only sort-of negative is that the first half of the day was a little too low-key (lots of flat water) for my family, but my kids were too young to do the Royal Gorge. Still, lots of good times, and good memories. If we happen to vacation here again in a few years, we will certainly look up Lost Paddle for their Royal Gorge tour.
