Join this beautiful and safe bike ride to see the massive and ancient "El Tule" tree, the WIDEST tree in the world. Visit the town of Santa Maria del Tule, its beautiful lush gardens at the square, the food market and craft shops.
This is a great GUIDED ride and we'll provide you with a BIKE and HELMET.

Meet in downtown Oaxaca. Then, once we are geared up with helmets and our quality bikes, we'll begin our journey to Santa Maria del Tule (10 km or 6 miles one way, 40 to 50 min. ride). We'll ride on a dedicated bike lane, covered with tree shades for the most part. It's mostly flat. During our ride, you'll get to see the outskirts of the city, beautiful hills, and a few crop fields.

Once we arrive to Santa Maria del Tule, we'll go see the massive tree, the beautiful lush gardens and the local church. Here, you'll learn interesting facts about the tree and history of the town.

5.00This was a great way to experience a part of the city that is not centro while also riding out of town to a beautiful, placid smaller town almost but not quite next door to Oaxaca. I am very happy I decided to take the ride even when I wasn’t feeling that great. By the end, I was feeling terrific.

5.00Ivan Host Ivan was a wonderful guide. He was cautious, informative, patient and a genuinely kind person. The bike ride to El Tule Arbol was only challenging because of a strong wind. the way back was a beautiful breeze. the tree itself, along with the immaculate little village was well worth the cost and journey. A most unique trip.

5.00This was a fun way to visit el Tule! It was a nice moderate ride and mostly on a separate bike path. Sigri was knowledgeable, kind, and I felt very safe the entire time. El Tule tree is incredible and definitely worth a stop if you’re in Oaxaca!

5.00A chill and relaxing bike ride to see the Tule tree. Most of the route was shaded by trees and on the dedicated bike lane. Ivan was a great guide and very attentive to the group’s safety

5.00Sigrid was a fantastic guide. The trip was well paced, very easy ride on flat terrain, mostly in a fully protected bike lane. It was really nice to get that view heading out of the city and the town you stop in is very charming. The bikes are good quality, the road is bumpy, but the bikes have great suspension so you don't really feel it. I found the seat quite comfortable when most bike seats are too small for me. Definitely recommend for a chill way to explore outside of town.

5.00Wonderful experience! Ivan made us feel very safe on the 45 min bike ride and provided a fun, informative tour of the Tule tree with ~50 min to explore the small town and get food after. You can also leave some items in the office at the meeting point which lvan locked up, which was convenient. Highly recommend taking this bike tour to the tree rather than just taking a car there. Thank you, Ivan!
