It is recommended to check the weather forecast for the day of the visit (Euskalmet) and to follow the authorities' recommendations in case of extreme weather events. On days with an orange alert and to avoid health incidents, it is advised not to hike up to the San Juan de Gaztelugatxe hermitage during the affected hours. In any case, it is recommended to take self-protection measures, such as wearing comfortable and suitable footwear, protecting yourself from the sun, and staying properly hydrated.
If there are children included in the booking, three days before the tour we will contact you by email to confirm their weight and height and to select the appropriate child seat for the car.
A minimum of 2 adults is required, among all bookings, for the tour to go ahead (minimum of 4 adults for the bilingual group option). If the minimum group for carrying out the activity would not be reached, an alternative date or full refund would be offered. If your booking was below this number we will contact you at least 2 days in advance to inform you in case the minimum group size was not covered by this stage. Please feel free to contact us anytime to confirm the total amount of bookings for your tour date.

5.00Paul, our tour guide and driver, provided exceptional service. He catered to our needs, ensuring our comfort throughout the journey. When my wife forgot her phone at the hotel, Paul kindly took us back to retrieve it. His extensive knowledge made the trip truly enjoyable. The breathtaking view from San Juan de Gaztelugatxe was well worth the hike. We also savored the delicious food in La Palma, Bilbao. The Guggenheim Museum is a must-visit attraction. 5.00Paul was extremely professional , kind and made us feel right at home. His vast knowledge of the area was exactly what we were looking for. I wish we had him with us the whole time we were visiting Spain. He made our vacation memorable beyond what we ever imagined. He’s also extremely trust worthy, I dropped my wallet in the tour van and he brought it back to me and avoided a disaster that would have ruined the rest of our once in a lifetime trip we’ve been planning for years. 5.00Our guide Paul, was excellent. He was prompt, informative and ensured we had a good time. The hike to Gatztelugatxe is not for the faint of heart, and he ensured everyone was safe and able to enjoy the hike. Lunch in Bilbao was great and our time at the Guggenheim was sufficient to enjoy all of the exhibits. Thanks to Paul for making it a great day!

5.00Paul was a fantastic guide. He was punctual, polite and very informative. Although it was raining on the day of our trip, he made sure we all stayed as dry as possible and ensured our safety on the hike to Gaztelugatxe. We had great local dishes for lunch that Paul recommended and finished with a trip to the Guggenheim. Paul was really wonderful and our whole family enjoyed the trip!

5.00Our guide, Alby was outstanding. He knew the area on the drive and gave us great insight into the Basque culture and even taught us a few words! The hike was incredible. When we arrived in Bilboa he did not disappoint when we stopped for lunch. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.

5.00Paul deserves a six out of six at least! His English is great and he communicated with us prior to the trip And throughout our excursion. He is obviously well studied in the history and culture of the area and provided us with a lot of great insights. He is professional, thoughtful, respectful, and very accommodating. Also, I felt very comfortable with his driving ability. I highly recommend him!
