Paddles leave behind a swirl of blue light and stars cover the sky on this mystical night kayak expedition across Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve. Laguna Grande is the only bioluminescent lagoon in the world, and one of five year-round bioluminescent bodies of water in our globe!

Maximum Weight Limit: 240 lbs PER ONE GUEST | up to 425 lbs COMBINED PER KAYAK
Minimum age is 6 years old | Participants Age 6-13 must be accompanied by an adult on the same kayak. Participants 14-17 must have an adult participating on the tour.
Wear Comfortable clothes that can get wet (bathing suit shorts), shoes that can get wet (flip flops / water shoes), bring a towel and change of clothes (for after the excursion).
Odd number parties will be assigned on double kayaks during the tour.
Bring your cell phone during your travel (in the event that we need to contact you, or you need to contact us prior to the excursion)
This excursion requires a minimum of at least 6 total participants in order to provide the tour. In the event this minimum is not met, we will call 1-2 days prior to the excursion to go over alternative options (i.e. reschedule for a different date or time that has the minimum requirement, payment options for a private excursion, or cancel without penalty)
For safety reasons we requiere all guests are able to communicate in English or Spanish.
Not recommended for travelers with back, neck, wrist, arm, leg problems, recent surgeries / injuries and/or cast.
Not recommended for travelers who are prone to panic attacks
Not permitted for pregnant travelers
Maximum weight per person is 240 lbs

5.00The tour was a lot of fun, but don’t expect to see much of the bioluminescence glow. It’s mostly a fun kayaking experience through the channel in the dark. It was pretty much pitch black so you couldn’t really see when under the full canopy. It was beautiful, and loved seeing the stars so clearly! The guides were fantastic and really took a lot of care to make sure no one was left behind. They also helped everyone that was having trouble keeping up so don’t worry if you aren’t a strong kayaker. :) Truly, the guides made the experience and are very knowledgeable!

4.00The overall experience was very good. The tour guides were great at keeping us together and Lori was great in recognizing when we were falling behind and helping us catch up and keep together. When we got to the lagoon , we some some other kayakers that had separated from their group without a tour guide making me thankful our tour guides did a good job at keeping us together . Daniel and Francisco were fun to listen to. I wish the video on how to kayak was sent out at the same time as we did the waiver as it seemed like some people were learning at the time of going. It felt like some minor practice or experience was needed prior to leaving . Otherwise overall great !

5.00Great experience with Miguel, Francisco, Brian, and Lori. My husband and I were terrible at kayaking but they took really good care of us and we still had amazing experience. Definitely worth it for a unique adventure!
