Paddles leave behind a swirl of blue light and stars cover the sky on this mystical night kayak expedition across Las Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve. Laguna Grande is the only bioluminescent lagoon in the world, and one of five year-round bioluminescent bodies of water in our globe!

Maximum Weight Limit: 240 lbs PER ONE GUEST | up to 425 lbs COMBINED PER KAYAK
Minimum age is 6 years old | Participants Age 6-13 must be accompanied by an adult on the same kayak. Participants 14-17 must have an adult participating on the tour.
Wear Comfortable clothes that can get wet (bathing suit shorts), shoes that can get wet (flip flops / water shoes), bring a towel and change of clothes (for after the excursion).
Odd number parties will be assigned on double kayaks during the tour.
Bring your cell phone during your travel (in the event that we need to contact you, or you need to contact us prior to the excursion)
This excursion requires a minimum of at least 6 total participants in order to provide the tour. In the event this minimum is not met, we will call 1-2 days prior to the excursion to go over alternative options (i.e. reschedule for a different date or time that has the minimum requirement, payment options for a private excursion, or cancel without penalty)
For safety reasons we requiere all guests are able to communicate in English or Spanish.
Not recommended for travelers with back, neck, wrist, arm, leg problems, recent surgeries / injuries and/or cast.
Not recommended for travelers who are prone to panic attacks
Not permitted for pregnant travelers

5.00The guides at Kayaking Puerto Rico are kind, knowledgeable, and able to ensure the safety of all who participate in their program. Even if the bioluminescence of the lagoon outside of Fajardo was not spectacular, the experience of kayaking through the mangroves was exciting! The folks who help to reserve the spots are polite and efficient. I have accompanied my students on KPR trips for five years, and I will continue doing so!

5.00Enjoyable experience! Even though the bioluminescence wasn’t strong, the company let us know expectations ahead of time and gave us the option to reschedule or cancel. Still enjoyable experience and the guides were great! Got a workout too with that current!

5.00Lori, Francisco, Emmanuel and Miguel were all great guides. It was a peaceful kayak out to the laguna and we saw some bioluminescence. The guides were informative, friendly and even really patient and helpful to another company's tour.
