5.00I had a great time kayaking under the stars in bioluminescent water! I wish I could’ve stayed out there longer. I was bumped up to an earlier time since we didn’t reach the minimum number of people for the later one. He called, texted, and Whatsapped to make sure I got the message (I was on airplane mode on a flight). Carlos was thorough and patient with giving instructions on how to kayak, especially since we had some beginners in the group. He also explained the plankton and pointed out constellations with a laser pointer. I appreciated him taking videos for us (he recommended that we keep our phones in the car so we don’t accidentally drop it). This allowed me to be in the moment and not fumbling with taking photos (this was especially helpful since it was windy and we needed to watch the currents).

5.00A once in a lifetime experience. Carlos and his team were super helpful and instructed well throughout the experience. A must try!
$130 cancellation fee for a tour the provider cancelled ... Buyers beware!

1.00We didn't get to do the tour because the operator, Carlos, called us en route to baggage claim around 1 pm at the San Juan airport to tell us that they were not going to do the 8:45 tour we booked and had been charged for and that he was moving us and others to the 6:45 tour, a time we could not make. To add insult to injury, in addition to refusing to refund the $105 we paid for the tour the provider cancelled he said we'd be charged a $130 cancellation fee ... We didn't cancel the 8:45 tour, he did. We told him that we're disputing the charge for a service not provided. Such a shame. We were looking forward to it.

5.00The bioluminescence tour was amazing! He took us to a spot where the bioluminescence was highly concentrated, which made the experience even more magical. He also explained how the phenomenon works, which was really interesting. Since it was just four of us, the tour felt very personal and relaxed. He even took great pictures and videos for us

5.00I took my family on this tour to show them the bioluminescent plankton and this was an even better tour than the one I previously did solo. Carlos, the owner, took our pictures which no one else does and took us to a spot with the most bioluminescent! He was friendly and knew everything about the plankton. Definitely a great experience and we would go to him again.

5.00We had the most amazing experience on this tour. Carlos, the owner took us out and we really enjoyed it because he was super knowledgeable on the plankton and even took pictures of us while out there. We got to see so much more bioluminescence than I thought possible and he was super friendly and helpful. I learned a lot and had the time of my life. 10/10 recommend.

5.00The tour was amazing from start to finish thanks to the excellent work of our guide. He was very kind, professional, and you could tell he is passionate about what he does. He explained everything perfectly and made the experience even more special. Seeing the bay glow at night is something magical and unforgettable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vieques. 5.00Amazing experience, definitely book with them!! Carlos is amazing. My friends and I were dropped off at a pick-up location 10 minutes away from the actual pick-up spot and he picked us up right away. He took us to the meeting point, at which point he gave us our instructions and started the tour. He showed us how to kayak and was nearby if we needed help. The experience itself was amazing- kayaking at night, beautiful and insanely visible lit sky, and bioluminescent water. He taught us about the bioluminescent environment, showed us the different stars including pointed out Jupiter, and took lots of photos and videos for my group. In the end, he airdropped us everything and drove us back to the meeting point. Carlos is very well known and connected in his community, so we trusted him a lot. The process was smooth and fun.

5.00Amazing experience! Carlos (“Foquito”) was an excellent guide. He’s very attentive, friendly, and clearly knows the route and the bay really well. Before we started, he explained clearly how to use the kayaks and how the bioluminescent bay works, which made everyone feel comfortable and excited for the tour. He speaks very good English and communicates everything in a simple and easy way. During the tour he was always checking on us to make sure everyone was doing well and enjoying the experience. What I really appreciated is that he also helped coordinate transportation timing and was mindful about when we needed to leave, even helping us figure out taxis so we could get back to our destination without stress. Overall, a beautiful experience and a great guide. Highly recommend doing the BioBay tour with Foquito if you visit Vieques.
