5.00I took my family on this tour to show them the bioluminescent plankton and this was an even better tour than the one I previously did solo. Carlos, the owner, took our pictures which no one else does and took us to a spot with the most bioluminescent! He was friendly and knew everything about the plankton. Definitely a great experience and we would go to him again.

5.00We had the most amazing experience on this tour. Carlos, the owner took us out and we really enjoyed it because he was super knowledgeable on the plankton and even took pictures of us while out there. We got to see so much more bioluminescence than I thought possible and he was super friendly and helpful. I learned a lot and had the time of my life. 10/10 recommend.

He explained everything perfectly and made the experience even more special. Seeing the bay glow at night is something magical and unforgettable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vieques. 5.00Amazing experience, definitely book with them!! Carlos is amazing. My friends and I were dropped off at a pick-up location 10 minutes away from the actual pick-up spot and he picked us up right away. He took us to the meeting point, at which point he gave us our instructions and started the tour. He showed us how to kayak and was nearby if we needed help. The experience itself was amazing- kayaking at night, beautiful and insanely visible lit sky, and bioluminescent water. He taught us about the bioluminescent environment, showed us the different stars including pointed out Jupiter, and took lots of photos and videos for my group. In the end, he airdropped us everything and drove us back to the meeting point. Carlos is very well known and connected in his community, so we trusted him a lot. The process was smooth and fun.

5.00Amazing experience! Carlos (“Foquito”) was an excellent guide. He’s very attentive, friendly, and clearly knows the route and the bay really well. Before we started, he explained clearly how to use the kayaks and how the bioluminescent bay works, which made everyone feel comfortable and excited for the tour. He speaks very good English and communicates everything in a simple and easy way. During the tour he was always checking on us to make sure everyone was doing well and enjoying the experience. What I really appreciated is that he also helped coordinate transportation timing and was mindful about when we needed to leave, even helping us figure out taxis so we could get back to our destination without stress. Overall, a beautiful experience and a great guide. Highly recommend doing the BioBay tour with Foquito if you visit Vieques.

5.00Kayaking in the Mosquito Bay bioluminescent bay was one of the most beautiful and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. I did this tour with my partner while visiting Vieques, and it truly felt magical from beginning to end. The tour itself was comfortable and well organized. It’s a kayaking experience, so you do need to paddle and follow the guide, which takes a bit of effort, but the guides are very helpful and can assist you with the kayaks if needed. The tide was a little strong that night, but honestly it made the experience even more exciting because we kayaked a lot and had so much fun navigating through the water together. Before entering the bay, the guides explained everything clearly. They shared valuable information about the bioluminescence, the ecosystem, and even some stories about the area. Throughout the tour they guided us carefully and made sure everyone stayed together and felt comfortable. Even though the bay is several meters deep, we felt completely safe. We had the proper equipment, including life jackets, and the guide was attentive the entire time, which gave us a lot of confidence during the tour. One thing to know is that there are many mosquitoes in the area. However, we were advised not to use insect repellent because it can affect the delicate ecosystem of the bay. Instead, wearing long pants and covering your skin helps a lot. And then there is the glow. When the water lights up around your paddle and your kayak, it feels surreal. Seeing the bioluminescence shine so brightly in the dark is something I will never forget. It truly felt like watching the ocean come alive. We saw fishes shining as the stars!!! This was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible experiences of my life, and something I highly recommend to anyone visiting Vieques.
