It was fine until the end...

1.00It was fine until the end when our tour guide took us to the ferry. I was so glad they could take us to the ferry. But the guide was quite drunk and the van we were in was broken. The guide was nice and friendly but going really fast and almost crashed a couple of times because of the broken steering wheel. So scary. I had my daughter with me.

5.00We got lucky to see bioluminescence even though we were dangerously close to the full moon. The tour is nicely organized, the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure to buy ferry tickets in advance. There’s a beach next to the meeting point, take taxi there when you arrive
Broken promises and lost money

1.00Had the tour booked with the understanding we would make it back to the ferry on time. Then once we arrived we found out they would not. The worker promised us tickets for the next day, so we left to get a message they were sold out and could not give us tickets. We lost all of our money when we left the island bc they said we wouldn’t make It back.

5.00I loved every minute of this experience. The knowledge of the eco system was both interesting and important to this eco systems delicate nature. We went during a full moon. The luminescence could have been more visible on a less full moon and the experience was still quite magical. All of the guides were professional and cared for the environment and your experience. I would highly recommend Tropical Reef Watersport

5.00Simply amazing! Being in a bioluminescent bay was on my bucket list, and Mosquito Bay did not disappoint! Even though we were two days shy of a full moon, we were still able to see the magical glow of the bay. The excursion first takes you on a VERY bumpy van ride to the bay (about 15 min). The kayaking portion took about an hour and that was plenty of time spent on the water. It’s an incredible experience - we highly recommend it!

3.00Disappointed. It felt like a cattle call to scoop in the Benjamins. They were 20 minutes late. About 20 people loaded up in 3 vans drove a short way and everybody unloaded and it seemed a bit chaotic in the dark. I was concerned because there were small kids. We quickly loaded in kayaks with very little instructions. Nobody checked life vests. We got out in the middle of the bay, got a 5 minute talk then the guide spent the rest of the time looking at his phone. It was a beautiful night but you got almost no luminescent quality because it was almost a full moon. About 20 min later the guide called the trip and we paddled 100 yards back to shore. Dont waste your money on this one.

5.00Absolute 5 star all the way! In fact, it was so astoundingly beautiful that we went again the next night but with a different tour company. The next night's experience wasn't nearly as engaging. Tour guides make all the difference, so I highly recommend Tropical Reef Watersport for your tour!!! The biobay is definitely something everyone should do at least once in their lifetime. We think it should be one of the wonders of the world!

5.00Once in a lifetime! But the experience depends on the sun, the moon, recent rainfall,… so a bit difficult to predict what your experience will be!
