  Great experience with a knowledgeable guide. 100% recommend! Make sure you look at the bottom of the kayaks, and wear something that you are fine getting wet. Skip the shoes as the short path is a muddy. Bug spray yourself. Fantastic experience! We considered going back the night after but time did not allow.

  Leonardo is a very helpful, warn, knowledge guy. He gave a very detailed information on the tour and at the end helped us get some mangoes from the trees.

  This tour was fun, informative and a once in a lifetime experience! Our tour guide was incredible, he was funny,helpful, and made sure we were all safe and having the best experience possible.

  Sketchy van and our guy was wearing a ski mask while loading stuff up but he was generally a nice dude lol just looked iffy.

  The treatment from the guide was extremely rude and disrespectful with us and other tourists that took the tour with us. Also, the maintenance of the van used to take us there, was poor. Not only was it in bad shape, it had cockroaches. Nos really an experience I expected when booking through Viator.

  The bay was beautiful. Unfortunately the tour guide wasn’t. He gave us a brief explanation and left us to paddle on our own. One couple that was also doing the tour got lost and Leonardo the tour guide had to search for them. We saw cockroaches in the van that they drove us to and from the bay. Overall it was a really bad experience. I suggest take the tour but with a different operator

  Terrible experience—would strongly recommend staying away from Vieques Kayak Bio Bay, especially our guide, Leonardo. Despite our group being very small, he left us paddling alone in the dark bay with no supervision or guidance. My friend and I were fortunate enough to find our way back to the van on our own, but a young couple became completely lost in the bay. When I asked the guide if he was going to look for them, he responded that they would have to find their own way back. It wasn’t until nearly midnight that he finally decided to go search for them. Thankfully, everyone made it back safely—but this situation could have easily turned into something far more serious. To make matters worse, while we were waiting, my friend and I sat inside the van and had to keep our feet up because we found cockroaches inside. It added to an already unsettling and unsafe experience. This level of negligence and lack of basic cleanliness is unacceptable for an activity that depends heavily on safety and proper guidance. I would not trust this company again.

  Highly recommend. Bioluminescence was visible even on a week with the full moon. They responded to messages, answered calls, guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I worried about mosquitoes, but there were almost none on our day, but in case it’s useful to others DEET is not good for the bioluminescent animals, they recommended a non-DEET spray. I had bought mosquito netting and the tour recommended against that as unnecessary.

  Where do I begin? It was very unclear where the meeting spot was. When they arrived, we had we had to wait for them to swap vans because there was no gas in that van and when we swapped vans, it was so claustrophobic it smelled, the backseat was not attached to the vehicle so it kept moving, please if you’re claustrophobic do not book this. After seeing other companies that were nearby, they were so much more organized. There was a sign, they had better vehicles. In terms of the actual experience, the guides were great and the experience in the kayak itself was amazing. But I would never recommend booking with this company.
