Kayak through the mangroves of Laguna Grande and experience the natural glow of bioluminescence. Visibility varies as it's a natural phenomenon; a tarp may be used to block out light and enhance visibility, making it easier to see even subtle sparkles.
Advisories:
1. Sargassum, a harmless local seaweed, may occasionally be present and emit an odor.
2. Solo kayakers and odd-numbered groups will be paired up.
3. You will get wet—dress accordingly.
4. During peak season, high traffic may cause light contact between kayaks; our experienced guides ensure a safe and enjoyable tour.
5. Participants aged 6–14 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult.
Participants aged 15–17 must be accompanied by an adult on the tour.
6. Wear comfortable, quick-drying clothes and water shoes or sandals. You will get wet.

Not allowed for pregnant guests or those with casts, heart conditions, neck/back issues, epilepsy, or dizziness.
Weight limit p/p of 225 lb (102kg)! Checks will be conducted prior to boarding; no participation nor refunds if exceeded.

5.00Pedro & crew were AWESOME!! They explained clearly all expectations, guided us while kayaking through the mangroves “manglares”. I had previous experience but wanted my daughters to experience it. Totally worth it!!
Great nighttime adventure

5.00We took the nighttime bio bay kayaking tour and really enjoyed it. There are lights on each kayak so you can easily follow your guide. We went through the mangrove forest and emerged in the bioluminescent bay and they provided a tarp to block out the city lights and moonlight. We could not see a spectacular display as shown in brochures and could not take pictures due to the low light but it was a cool experience.

Crowded and Chaotic- Save your money

1.00This tour was extremely overcrowded and honestly very disappointing. There were far too many kayaks on the water at once, making it chaotic and difficult to enjoy. Instead of taking in the bioluminescence, we spent most of the time trying not to bump into chaotic kayakers and other groups. The experience started poorly we spent about 30 minutes tied together, crashing in the waves while waiting for our turn between four other massive tour groups launching from the same spot. Everyone ended up completely soaked before we even began, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable. The guides seemed overwhelmed and rushed, offering very little personal attention or information about the area. There was a lot of yelling at guests who were struggling to paddle, which added to the stress. The bright headlamp one guide wore completely ruined the nighttime experience, and the wet tarp used to simulate darkness was just unpleasant. Puerto Rico is a beautiful place, but this tour was not the way to experience it. Definitely not worth the money. I’d recommend making the trip to Vieques instead and finding a smaller, more organized company.
Amazing Adventure into Bioluminescent Lagoon

5.00The bioluminescent bay night tour is a truly unique adventure that should be on everyone's bucket list. The bay's bioluminescence was severely damaged by hurricane in 2017, and as of my visit in October 2025, the luminescent effect was still noticeably lower than the last time I visited the bay in the early 2010's, but it is slowly but surely recovering, and is back to the point where it is worth seeing! Even the kayaking trip (about one mile each way) in the dark, on a creek through a mangrove forest with overhanging branches, is an amazing and breathtaking adventure. As you near the lagoon, the creek's water starts to glow as you paddle it. It's surreal and amazing. Seriously, you absolutely MUST see this if you go to PR. Book it -- you won't be sorry.

5.00Pedro and Bellamy made the experience absolutely amazing, educational and fun! The route was so peaceful and beautiful. I was very nervous at first but Pedro was able to ease my tension and explain what to do very clearly. Both guides were VERY educated and knowledgeable about the bay, local animals and fun PR facts.

1.00From the start, the experience was uncomfortable, frustrating, and incredibly disappointing. The tour guide, Pedro, was extremely inappropriate: constantly directing comments at me in Spanish, even after it was clear I was with my partner and not interested in engaging. It felt creepy and disrespectful, it wasn’t charming, it wasn’t cultural… it was gross. To make things worse, the entire tour was conducted in Spanish, even though my partner only spoke English. No translation, no consideration. It was like we weren’t even there. Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate. The "bioluminescent" water? Total letdown. This whole experience was a nightmare. We left feeling uncomfortable, disrespected, and honestly a bit violated by how the guide acted. It felt more like a scam than a tour. I would never do this again and strongly advise others to steer clear, especially if you expect professionalism. After requesting a refund for the inconvenience we were returned basically nothing back. Don’t book unless you want to be left with a bad taste in your mouth and out $80.

5.00Bring a change of clothes and shoes you can get wet. We didn't realize we had to wade in waist deep water to get in the kayak. Also, use the bug spray they provide. You WILL get bit! Our tour guide was funny and informative.
