The Blue Mountains is an uplifted and eroded sandstone plateau with spectacular cliffs, valleys, waterfalls and blue gum forests.
We pick you up at your hotel and head straight to the mountains to see the Three Sisters and several other lookouts.
The day is flexible and from this point we have a few choices.
We can do a hike of 1, 2 or 3 hours duration and we can forward further information on these walks. Just ask!
Alternatively we can visit Scenic World.
If you prefer not to hike at all we can visit Wentworth Falls and Leura Village or go further afield to see wild kangaroos and wallabies.
Other places that can be visited upon request include, Zig Zag Railway, Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, Mt Wilson, Featherdale Wildlife Park or Sydney Zoo to see native animals.
For lunch we have fresh sourdough bread with a range of fillings and two salads prepared by your guide.

Echo Point Lookout (Three Sisters)
See one of the best lookouts in the mountains. This lookout includes sweeping views of the Jamison Valley, Narrow Neck Peninsula, Mt Solitary and the world renowned three sisters. The Echo Point lookout is comprised of two levels with many points and balconies from which to observe the amazing blue hazed landscape.
Govetts Leap
To gauge the enormity of the Blue Mountains we will visit 5 different lookouts, one of which is Govetts Leap. From the Govetts Leap lookout we will appreciate the stunning sheer cliffs, sandstone escarpments, deep canyons and the dense Eucalypt forest of the Grose Valley. Bridal Veil Falls is located to our left as we look at the valley and drops 180 metres into the Grose Valley. Yes another valley and one that you will be very pleased to see!

5.00Highly recommend this tour if you want to experience the beauty of Blue Mountains area in one day. Greg did an excellent job of providing us brief history and adjusted our itinerary to accommodate weather changes. He was a great guide and he understood our interests and made the trip a very memorable one.

5.00Greg was up for personalizing our experience and helped us pick a longer more challenging bush walk. He picked me and my adult daughter up from our hotel and drove us to the big lookouts and to the fortress ridge trailhead. We appreciated how in the car he matched our energy and did not feel the need to fill the silence with chatter. While in the car, he turned on the local Sunday mornings with Macca which was a treat to listen to and get a feel for local culture. Greg was very easy going and we felt very comfortable with him as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and Australian history. He also packed a delicious picnic lunch for us, including the Australian Lamington cake which was delicious. By the end of the day, Greg felt like one of our hiking buddies.

5.00I highly recommend booking a private tour with Sydney Nimble Tours! Our family spent a day with Greg in the Blue Mountains. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable, and we felt safe during the entire drive. Greg reached out prior to the scheduled tour date to give recommendations and to plan the itinerary. The schedule is flexible, but you can check out his website to get ideas. We really wanted to visit the glow worm tunnel during the daytime, and Greg made it happen! It's a long drive out to the tunnel, but we drove through charming villages and stopped at scenic lookouts along the way. Greg knows the best photo spots and was our photographer during the tour. Chef Greg prepared us a delicious picnic lunch and he made sure to provide snacks throughout the day. After seeing the glow worms, we encountered several kangaroos on our drive home. It was such a satisfying day! Greg is a wealth of knowlege and so friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to book a private tour with him!

5.00Greg, did an amazing job showing us all there was to see if the blue mountains and scenic world we couldn’t have asked for anything more, it was a spectacular day. Greg went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and seeing what we wanted to see. He made us feel like family.

5.00We had a fabulous day with Greg of Sydney NimbleTours on the Blue Mountains day tour. He is a chef, photographer, a connoisseur of plum and carrot cakes, and a great tour guide. Greg was very personable, knowledgeable as well as flexible to accommodate our needs. The day was thoroughly enjoyable and we saw a lot of great views while learning about the history and habitats. I would HIGHLY recommend him to show you his native city of Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

5.00My wife, adult daughter, her boyfriend and I recently visited Sydney. We wanted to spend time in the Blue Mountains, but didn’t want to rent a car. We also wanted to avoid the “small tours” as they seemed impersonal. We came upon the “Blue Mountains” tour with Greg at Sydney Nimble Tours. It was a private tour for only the four of us, with Greg as our guide. This was one of the best decisions of our entire 3-week trip! Before we even arrived in Australia, he asked us about our sightseeing goals. Although there are stops already listed on the website for the tour, he was very flexible and wanted the day to be exactly as we wished. He made suggestions of things to add and subtract. He also adjusted the order of our tour to optimize smaller crowds. We wanted to do some hiking, and he recommended a hike with beautiful views and incredible rock formations. Greg picked us up from our hotel. He did all the driving, telling us various interesting facts along the way. He dropped us off at Scenic World for a visit and to ride the three rides, then picked us up and continued showing us spectacular views, stopping periodically for optimal lookouts and photo ops. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at a quiet grassy area near one of the lookouts and he made us sandwiches, served with side salads and drinks. He drove us deep into the mountains and we hiked the Butterbox Trail and saw stunningly unusual ironstone rock formations. Greg knew all about the rocks and flora and told us native lore and history from the area. We stopped by the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba for a late afternoon tea on our way back to Sydney. Greg was a tour guide extraordinaire! He was so kind and knowledgeable, a safe driver, local lore storyteller, knower of plants and rocks, hiking leader, and even took great photos along the way. We have been raving about our day with him in the Blue Mountains. We all highly recommend this Blue Mountains tour!

5.00About to leave Australia after many years here so we decided to go somewhere interesting, and we’re glad we chose Greg from Sydney Nimble Tours to lead the way. Not our first tour with Greg but definitely the one most worth remembering! He took us to see so many breath-taking views and opened our eyes to a whole new different side of Blue Mountains. We enjoyed his hospitality and the talks along our long drives. Definitely a 10-star trip!

5.00Greg picked us up for a three day trip that included the Blue Mountains, Capertee which hosts the second largest canyon in the world, Lithgow and Mudgee, with lots of sightseeing along the way. Greg is such easy company, knowledgeable and very flexible with what to see and do. Lunch, drinks and snacks were all provided, so all we had to do was enjoy ourselves, which of course we did. Thanks Greg for all your hard work, we were very appreciative and can highly recommend you.

5.00Our day in the Blue Mountains with Greg was an amazing experience. His knowledge of the best hikes and lookouts enabled us to see and experience so much. He brought a delicious picnic lunch for us to enjoy that was a very nice touch! Our group highly recommends him for a truly high level personal guide experience at a very reasonable cost! Will certainly contact Greg again when we make our way back to Australia.
