On our Secret Food Tour Bologna: we'll provide you with an unforgettable taste experience.
We'll start with a traditional welcoming sweet. Then, we'll visit one of the oldest Salumeria of
the city to learn more about the local meat products and the famous pastas.
You'll enjoy: Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Mortadella di Bologna and many
more regional cold cuts in the oldest Osteria in the world with a glass of our local wine.
Next we have planned a taste of fresh, handmade pasta made just for us at a local Trattoria,
always with a glass of local wine (and a coffee, if you like it) Then we will visit the main local
food market, called Quadrilatero, and we'll enjoy a tasting of different types of balsamic
vinegar from Modena (8-12-25 years of aging) to discover how this amazing tradition is still
deeply rooted in this region.

Caterina met us with a warm welcome from the start, and took us to see places and eat food that only a local could truly know. Despite multitasking to meet with lost members of our tour group and chat with the locals, she was impossibly nice and warm, giving each person her time, attention, and connection. The tour included her informative history of Bologna, an up close view of a family style tortellini making lab, and many local food spots, with tastings small and large. At the end of the tour she shared with us a group picture & her personal list of favorite food spots across the major cities of Italy. The tour brought the history and culture of Bologna, an already wonderful place, truly to life. 10/10 would recommend!

We enjoyed our food tour with Claire very much. She had extensive knowledge of the cuisine and food culture in Bologna, as well as information about the city itself. We very much enjoyed the eateries where we stopped along the tour - all were traditional and authentic - no tourist traps. Claire kept our (large) group engaged throughout the tour and was as kind and entertaining as she was knowledgeable. Would highly recommend her tour to anyone visiting Bologna.

What a great experience! Claire took us to so many amazing restaurants and gave us a great history lesson for Bologna. She even sent me a list of her favorite restaurants for Bologna as well as Venice and Modena! We met some amazing people from all over the world on our tour. A must do if you are ever in Bologna!
