Each tour last six hours (including the drive from and back to Salt Lake City) and provides ample time to explore the Salt Flats, with stops at Great Salt Lake State Park and the Tree of Life sculpture – a captivating landmark standing amidst the vast desert landscape. Enjoy a more personal experience with our small-group tour (minimum of 2 guests required).

3.00The guide/driver was really great. The tour was a 1.5 hour drive out to a rest stop where we walked on the Flats for about 40 minutes. We stopped at a marina to view the Great Salt Lake on the way back. I expected more. I don't think it was worth the money

5.00The perfect length for a day trip, and great views and sights along the way. Our guide Sonsari was amazing, very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. The Salt Flats were really interesting, we made a 30 minute stop there, then another 20-30 at the Speedway. There was a 45 minute stop at the Great Salt Lake and a couple other unscheduled stops along the way. All in all a wonderful tour

5.00We had an absolutely wonderful tour thanks to our guide, Travis. From the beginning, we actually made a mistake regarding the meetup point, but Travis was kind enough to come and pick us up directly. What truly set him apart was his extraordinary attention to detail. As international visitors, we were so impressed that he adapted his photography style to match our preferences (which was different from how he photographed American guests) and even took the time to convert miles to kilometers for us. When some wanted to actually step into the Salt Lake, he didn't just wait on the shore. He took the lead, went in with them, and made sure to capture great photos of the moment. It is rare to find a guide who is this proactive and meticulous. Travis made our trip truly memorable, and we can’t recommend him enough!
Solo Travelers Excluded by Restrictive Booking Policy

1.00I was genuinely excited to book this tour during my stay in Salt Lake City, but I was unable to because it requires a minimum of two people. As a solo traveler, this was extremely disappointing and frustrating. This policy feels unnecessarily restrictive and excludes a large number of travelers who are visiting on their own. I was fully willing to pay for the experience, yet I was still unable to book simply because I was one person. That does not make sense from a customer perspective. Salt Lake City attracts many solo travelers, especially for conferences and short trips, and this requirement makes it difficult for us to access experiences like this. Offering a solo booking option, even at a higher price, would make this tour far more inclusive and accessible. It is unfortunate to miss out on what looks like a great experience due to such a limiting booking policy.

5.00It was basically a private tour as we were the only ones. Travis was knowledgeable and very personable. He made it fun and engaging despite it being rainy most of the time. He helped us get some good pictures too. Cary was also very nice. Despite the dreary weather, both made our tour fun and unforgettable. Highly recommend!

5.00Do yourself a favor: When you book a tour through Southwest Adventure Tours, ask for Luciana, specifically. My husband and I booked the Bonneville Salt Flats tour and we spent an entire morning with Lú and I am so happy we did. She is such an absolute radiant of light to be around and so incredibly knowledgeable. I learned so much about Utah. It was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
