Wonderful morning at the plantation. Arrived at 9 am on a weekday and was able to time all the tours and talks perfectly.

It's a beautiful experience the only thing that got me that was hard was what they did to the slaves that was totally uncalled for that should have never happened ever. God did not put us on this Earth to treat people like that.

Great excision. The welcoming lady and the lady at the carriage ride waiting area were particularly nice. The Gulah lady’s presentation was moving and information. The house guide was humorous and well versed. Great time.

A wonderful historical experience. The staff were knowledgeable and shared the history of every part of the plantation and everyone that lived there. Gave my family the insight they needed and broke things down so people of all ages could understand.

This was my second visit and I must say my second visit was better than my first. I was able to spend a lot more time the second time around than the first which made this experience worth while. My wife and I were able to explore just about everything the Boone plantation offered. The staff were not only just super friendly but extremely helpful with whatever questions we had. Will definitely be going back once I ever visit Charleston again.

OMG! The planation grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. The mansion tour guide (Kevin) was informative, knowledgeable, and so passionate about the era of the planation and the hardships of the souls lost there do to slavery. The fact that this is the only working planation is a testament to the current owners to keep history alive and not bury it. What an experience seeing the slave quarters and how they were able to survive is unbelievable.

Boone Hall Plantation is a definite must see when visiting Charleston. Although only a sixth of its original size, they are able to convey the feel of what the plantation was like in its heyday. All of the tours are fascinating and the guides know the history. Not to be missed is the Gullah-gichee presentation and the slave quarters.

I would have liked to hear more history about the enslaved people. Thinking that should be the main focus of going on a plantation tour. Loved the Gullah presentation.. spent about 3 hours in total on plantation. Wish we could have learned a bit more but enjoyed our time there.
