Beautiful location and experience. The staff explained the plantations history very well as well as the workings of an actual “working” plantation. The gardens are beautiful and the ride around the grounds was fun.

Very informative. Well run. Eye opening seeing and learning more about the travesty of slavery. A must do if you are in the area.

Staff are wonderful. The Boone plantation house is not the original home and was not owned by the Boones so that was interesting to hear.

It was very educational and worth visiting. My wife and I learned so much, for one we didn’t know that slaves made bricks and rice was a big deal back then.

We spent a wonderful afternoon touring this lovely plantation. The slave cabins are alone worth the visit. Listened to two presentations - loved the Gullah talk with Jackie - she was so informative, with a beautiful voice. The tractor ride of the grounds was great with helpful narration. Toured the house and gorgeous gardens. Learned so much about life before and after the Civil War - eye-opening.

Honestly, there was another plantation in Charleston I wanted to visit, but they were closed, so Boone Hall came in second. The ticket price was around $40 or possibly less per person, especially with discounts like AAA, senior, or military. The drive in was a bit bumpy, so drive with caution, but we were happy to find parking right away. There were enough staff and signage to guide us easily around. Upon arrival, we first entered a building that serves as an information desk, where we learned about the history of cotton and found a small souvenir shop. The staff member was kind and asked how many in our party, offering helpful suggestions on what to see and do around the plantation. One highlight was the mini play at the Gilded Hall, it was very well done. I wish we had planned to arrive earlier in the day so we could explore more, but overall, it’s a lovely spot with rich history and beautiful grounds. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Spent an amazing few hours visiting the Boone Plantation. From the Big House to the Farm Train ride around the property. The people that worked there were super nice and extremely helpful. Just pains me that it was occupied by slaves at one point in time.

Informative, beautiful grounds with a wonderfully, friendly, engaging guides. Loved that this is still a working farm, with lots of activities going on.
