It was more than just a sampling of wonderful Bordeaux food…we walked through the beautiful historic district of this incredible city. We sampled food, wine, treats and had a delicious meal along the way.

5.00We had the pleasure of doing a food and wine walking tour in Bordeaux with our team, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was incredibly kind, genuine, and welcoming from the moment we met. He immediately set a relaxed, friendly tone that made the whole experience feel less like a formal tour and more like exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend. His humor and warmth kept everyone engaged, and he was wonderfully flexible with our group, making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. Throughout the tour, we learned fascinating bits of Bordeaux’s history and culture while walking through some beautiful parts of the city. The pacing was perfect—plenty of time to take things in without ever feeling rushed. The food and drink experiences were excellent. We stopped for a thoughtful wine tasting featuring organic wines, paired with a fantastic selection of cheeses that introduced us to some truly memorable flavors. We also sampled sweet local treats along the way (including cannelés and other pastries), which were absolutely delicious and added a fun variety to the experience. The evening concluded with a wonderful dinner that brought everything together. It felt like a true Bordeaux experience—great food, great wine, and great conversation. Our guide’s recommendations throughout the tour were clearly carefully chosen, and you could tell he genuinely cares about supporting local producers and sharing places he personally loves. After the tour, he even followed up with a thoughtful message full of additional recommendations for food, markets, museums, and things to see around Bordeaux, which we really appreciated. If you’re visiting Bordeaux and want a relaxed, authentic way to experience the city’s food, wine, and culture, this tour is absolutely worth it.
