Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp is far unique from other lodges in kinabatangan is because this jungle camp is totally own and operated by the local people come from the river people tribe. Coming to TBJC means supporting the local community product as well. Beside that TBJC also situated in a very isolated place in Kinabatangan river compare to other lodges, for example, if you go to the other part of kinabatanga river lodges, 1 monkey will be 10-15 boat watching, but in TBJC, 1 monkey only 1 boat, which is US. We also implement NO MASS TOURIST policy in our jungle camp, which means, in a moment we only allowed 10 traveler maximum to come to our simple and basic jungle camp yet special. This is because we want to give such an authentic privilege for our clients. We also, implement our conservation project called rainforest carbon offset project (tree planting), some of your money we get, we will invest it back to environment by buying tropical seedlings from the local community.

- Pick up traveler at sandakan or sepilok area. According to their respective hotel. Pick up time will be 12pm. - The drive to Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp will take about 2 hours drive. Along the way will stop for local restaurant for lunch. Lunch will be under traveler accounts. - ETA at Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp Will be 2:30pm - Briefing of do and donts at Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp will be given. at 4:30pm go for the Afternoon Wildlife watching. The wildlife watching will Finish at 6pm. - At 7pm Dinner will be served, local cuisine. After dinner proceed for the Night wildlife watching at 8pm until 9pm. - Generator will only be switch on from 6pm to 10pm. Overnight at Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp.

- Wake at 6:15am. Get your Light breakfast. By 6:30am go for the Morning wildlife watching until 8am. - Get your real breakfast after the morning cruise. Free and leisure (bring your books or games so that you wont get bored :) - Lunch will be served at 12pm. Free and leisure - At 4:30pm go for another Afternoon wildlife watching until 6pm. dinner will be served at 7pm. - By 8pm go for the Either night walk or night cruise again. We will advise. Depend on the situation of the fire ants in the trail. - Generator will be switch on from 6pm to 10pm. Overnight at Tanjung Bulat Jungle Camp.

- breakfast at 8am - check out time will be at 9am. - guest can request late check out, however it will be subject to availability, and guest will need to pay extra to the local driver/vehicles. We do not take profit from this, the money will goes directly to the local driver/vehicles by paying to them directly. Please note, our official shuttle van services only can do the 9am check out transfer back to sandakan as we might need to pick up another guest around 11am - 12pm.

5.00Amazing experience! Tourguide Dean and his team were really friendly, helpful and could spot a croc in seconds. 2 orangutans were hanging out in the trees when we got there, and on the boat rides plenty of macaques, probiscus, kingfishers, monitors and cranes. Rooms basic but comfortable (it is a jungle camp), meals the same. Raincoats and sandals came in very handy, also binoculars. Couldn't fault it for jungle experience.

5.00This Borneo Wildlife Tour is a must. Staying at the jungle lodge felt authentic and we had many opportunities to see wildlife including Orangutans that were eating fruit on nearby trees at the camp. We took numerous boat excursions and saw many hornbills, various monkeys, crocodiles, and other wildlife. The camp was comfortable and the food was good. Overall, I highly recommend this tour.

5.00We were on a 4 days 3 nights tour and it was amazing. Jay (our guide) was very good and it is crazy how they spot all the animals specially during the night. It was very cool to be isolated in the rainforest, and the beds and food was good. Even though we had an amazing tour i think I would recommend the 3 days 2 nights tour, as the last day of the 4 days tour repeats the first day of the tour.

5.00The highlight of our Borneo trip! We loved our visit (3D2N) to the jungle camp. Jay and the team were fantastic, they could not do enough for us. Whilst we are well travelled we were a bit nervous as we’ve never stayed in the jungle! We needn’t have worried. We were greeted within 3 mins to cries of Orangutan - and we all ran in our socks to the back of the camp to see a young male swinging happily in the trees! That sums up our trip - exciting, rewarding, breathtaking at times, couple with friendly and welcoming plus basic but very clean rooms and facilities. Do it you won’t regret one minute!

5.00Unique experience in jungle immersion. Change of scenery guaranteed! It is the only camp in the river which gives privileged access to the riches of the jungle. Jay and his friends are taking great care to make us discover all the flora and fauna. We had the chance to see six orangutans including a couple on the camp. Several excursions on foot or by boat are offered during the day and the rest of the time allows to rest in the heart of nature in a hammock overlooking the river and its inhabitants (crocodiles, varans, Martin fishermen...). Thank you for this adventure!

5.00We spent 3 days / 2 nights in the middle of the jungle. Small group of 12 people maximum. Jay, the guide is amazing, and has an incredible knowledge of the wildlife around us. Diversified and very interesting activities Very good food. I recommend 100%

4.00The accomodation is very basic, no fan after 10pm, bucket water shower has flushable toilets and water on tap. You have generated power from 6pm to 10 pm Friendly staff opportunity to see wildlife - no elephants but orang-utans, crocodiles , civet cats and proboscis monkeys. You need to lug luggage across the jungle so take basics only. Drinking Water always available. Be prepared to have down time so hang in a hammock bring a book, do some short jungle walks. There is a hammock hang space under the accomodation.

5.00Had booked this fairly last minute and was very happy it worked out. This was the absolute highlight of my 3-week Borneo trip! I was taken care of very well, the guides were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and as a bonus I was able to join a trip to Gomatong caves on the last day that I hadn’t initially booked but was very keen on joining. Would absolutely recommend this stay!
