Start the day with the opportunity to stroll through the breathtaking gardens of Lednice Palace, one of the most beautiful and renowned landscapes in Central Europe. As we explore this impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site, we’ll walk through elegantly landscaped gardens, charming ponds, and romantic pathways. Along the way, we’ll see highlights such as the Palm House, a historic greenhouse filled with exotic plants, and the ornamental Minaret, an unusual yet striking 60-meter-high tower offering panoramic views over the estate. The grounds also feature graceful bridges, sculptures, and hidden garden pavilions, adding to the fairy-tale atmosphere. Lednice offers a unique blend of history, nature, and architectural beauty, making it an unforgettable experience for visitors.

Znojmo City Walls

Wandering through the narrow streets and crooked back alleys of Znojmo is a real treat, especially as we make our way up the hill in search of breathtaking views. Along the way, we’ll pass St. Nicholas Church, a stunning Gothic landmark, and the historic Town Hall, known for its unique tower. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views over the river and surrounding countryside, making the climb well worth it. Our visit also comes at the perfect time for a lunch break (not included), offering a chance to relax and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Znojmo is a hidden gem, well off the typical tourist trail, offering a more authentic Czech experience far from the crowds. It’s a stop that surprises and delights with its charm, history, and scenic beauty.

Our family had a lot of fun in Bratislava and Prague but we agree the trip between the two was the best part of our trip! We had so much fun visiting the beautiful palaces, charming villages, and pit stops between. Because you cover so much of the country, you really get a feel for what the country is like holistically. Our tour guide Alex was absolute joy to hang out with and was very knowledgeable of all of the sites. Our favorite part was probably the wine tasting in Moravia with some traditional Czech foods! :) More people need to experience the beauty in the countryside of of Czech Republic and Slovakia! This is an absolutely perfect way to do it. Highly recommend!!

We used Side Trip to travel between Bratislava and Prague. Our tour guide, Petr, made it an unforgettable experience. He was willing to adapt to our preferences. The highlight was visiting a winemaker and having a private wine tasting experience. Petr was exceptionally knowledgeable about the region, culture and attractions. We will definitely recommend SideTrip. They are also very trustworthy as they did not cancel the trip, although we were the only guests booked for the tour.
