Great trip, Danny was very knowledgeable with a very pleasant manner. He communicated with us well before during and after the trip. It was a long day but well worth it. I enjoyed the brunch too.

This trip was good but there were too many people on the tour with us and it was seemed really rushed. The towns were very cool. We were looking forward to oil tasting but it was so crowded it was hard to enjoy.

We very much enjoyed seeing Alberobello and Ostuni, so we recommend the trip for that reason. Getting started was a bit chaotic. Directions worked for most people, but then after taking a shuttle from the cruise into Brindisi, our tour went back to the ship to pick up the remaining people for the tour. If they can do that, it would be so much simpler to start the tour directly where the ship docks. Alberobello was very interesting, though I would have preferred seeing the historic section first and having an understanding of it, before having free time to explore the commercial section and finding lunch. Enjoyed the olive oil tasting very much in this section. Ostuni was charming and interesting. We would have appreciated the guide actually guiding us directly to the main cathedral as directions he gave were a little vague and we ended up losing time finding it. The guide did give good information about sights and managed the group well. Enjoyed seeing the countryside between the cities also.

The best feature of this tour was having a driver and guide to facilitate logistics. We completed all elements of the tour within the advertised timeline. There was plenty of free time to explore the sites. Not much information, history, or interesting stories to complement the tour.

It was an excellent tour to Aberobello and Ostuni led by Danny Vitale (Centro Guide Turistiche Salento). Far better than the ones being offered by the cruise ship according to some who took the other tours. Danny is a local guide very knowledgeable of the Puglia region of Italy. He picked us up right at the pier and dropped us of there well in time for the ship's departure. The bus was very comfortable - not crowded. We passed fields of olive groves as well as grape vineyards along the way. We had sufficient time in both towns to see the highlights with him and to walk around on our own. We made a stop at a Gelato shop he suggested in Ostuni - absolutely delicious and in a lovely courtyard. Our visit to a family still residing in one of the TRULLI homes in Aberobello which he had arranged was a highlight of the tour. The owner was very hospitable. Most tourists do not get such an opportunity. This was part of the walkabout through the village as Danny explained how this form of construction evolved. The stop for the private olive oil and vinegar demonstration and tasting was fascinating. Excellent lesson on production and aging process provided by the owner of the shop. It's optional - no cost - but definitely worth it! You can purchase some - as we did - at reasonable prices. Overall had a wonderful day and thanks to Sarah, his lovely assistant, who helped make sure the group stayed together! I would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing places! Walking through Alberobello among the trulli felt like stepping into a fairytale. Ostuni and its stunning cathedral truly stole my heart. I’d love to come back one day for a longer stay. As cruise passengers, our time was limited—these towns are about an hour from the port—but we still had enough time to explore and learn about their history, thanks to our knowledgeable guide. The tour was well organized and stress-free, and we made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Highly recommended!

We’re truly happy we took this excursion during our cruise. Danny, our guide, was excellent — very professional and knowledgeable — and Sara, the assistant, welcomed us warmly and supported us throughout the entire tour. Ostuni and Alberobello were stunning and definitely worth the trip, but it was Danny’s insight and guidance that truly made the day. It was genuinely an amazing experience! Everything was perfectly organized!

Our tour guides were the worst guides we have ever had. Neither of them introduced themselves on the bus. Once we arrived to our first destination the guide got off and started walking at a very rapid pace. There were so many people around it was difficult to even decipher who to follow. Once we arrived at our gathering point it took them at least 15 minutes to hand out the devices. This all could have been taken care of on the bus to allow for more time at the stop. They were extremely unorganized. It was a repeat occurrence when we arrived at our second destination. The guide just got off the bus and took off walking. No communication what so ever. We are very fit and able to walk at a fast pace. Unfortunately though not everyone was able to keep the pace but navigating through so many people made if even difficult. There was no consideration give for those who could not walk at such a fast pace. The assistant guide I felt was dressed inappropriate for the tour. She did have a company shirt on but had is tied above her belly button with her pants very low on her hips. I felt the tour was very unprofessional and unorganized.

We did this tour independently. There were quite a few of us that were interested in this tour from our cruise ship that Danny did this not thru trip advisor. We took a bus which was more comfortable. The two towns were very nice. Seeing the trullis in Alberobello was pretty cool. Ostuni was a quaint city. Great gelato. Danny and Sara were fabulous. Very knowledgeable. It is about 1.5 hours each way from the port.
