On this full day kayaking tour on the west coast, we will meet at our dock at 8 am before enjoying a 45 minute boat ride from Ucluelet to the Broken Group Islands where you'll begin your kayaking adventure. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife- we’re known to spot eagles, whales, sea lions, seals, mink, and otters within the protected waters of the Broken Group Islands. Itinerary for Broken Group Islands Kayak Tour -Start with a 45 minute boat ride to the Broken Group Islands -Spend a few hours paddling, exploring islands, islets, and sandy beaches -Stop for a fully catered picnic lunch on a sandy beach. -After lunch, further explore the protected waters of the Broken Group, discovering ancient middens, fish traps, and canoe runs of the First Nations who first inhabited the islands. -Our water taxi will return you to Ucluelet with an estimated arrival time of 4:00pm

Beautiful Day on the Water!

5.00Just got back to our hotel from a day trip to the Broken Islands. Our guide Nolan was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The lunch was delicious, and the scenery/ wildlife spotting was incredible! (whales, porpoises, sea lions, sea otters, and smaller beach dwelling creatures) Would definitely recommend visiting this area, would highly recommend using Hello Nature, and would even more so recommend our guide Nolan.

5.00Even though the fog clung to the Islands, it was a great trip. We had a bit of sun for lunch & it was lovely! The food from Heartwood Kitchen for our lunch was a perfect feast & they dealt with my partner’s food allergies splendidly. The guides (Vince & Nolan) were very skilled, informative & kept it fun. We saw humpback whales on the trip three different times, including a mother & calf, it was very special!

5.00There are many things to do in Ucluelet and tofino but this trip is truly unforgettable. We started with a 40 minute boat ride boat ride to the islands for drop off and safety instructions from Nolan who was incredibly competent and friendly. We had an awesome day of paddling and wildlife viewing around 6 or so of the islands. The lunch at a remote beautiful beach was fantastic, especially the homemade cookies from Kevin’s wife which made our day! Paddling through the islands is unique and every turn reveals more of the spectacular scenery. Our weather was not great and the morning was shrouded in fog which gave way to a clear afternoon- I would not let weather stop me to do this trip again. We can’t recommend this trip enough. A lifetime experience.

5.00My sister and I did the Broken Islands Day tour with Vince. We had a fantastic experience - everyone involved was extremely professional and friendly. It was a great mix of useful history and information about what we were seeing and quiet absorption of our surroundings. You can tell the company and team really care about the nature and people of this beautiful place. Highly recommend. Lunch and cookie were delicious too! Will always be grateful to Vince for making my first long kayaking experience so memorable.

5.00We had an amazing day. The guides were knowledgeable and very helpful. The time on the water was amazing and the small hike and interpretive talk into the old growth forest was informative and entertaining. The provided lunch was delicious. We saw seals and eagles and on the way home saw a humpback blow and the boat slowed down so we could observe him from a distance.

5.00Outstanding guided kayak day trip through the Broken Islands. Excellent quality kayaks provided with extra booties, paddle jacket, etc. Wonderful lunch on a beach. Vince and Kat were superb guides, knowledgeable about local history, very helpful and personable. If you love kayaking , this is a beautiful trip!

5.00The whole experience was fantastic. The ride out to the islands was nice and we saw sea otters. The paddling was great with quite smooth waters in the islands. Gorgeous scenery including many under water sightings such as starfish, sea anemones, etc. Kevin was a great guide & extremely knowledgeable! The prep list is a little vague, but when we arrived, they had all the equipment we needed. & it was good quality. The lunch was filling and "all right", but won't win any awards. ONE RIPPLE: My wife & I had signed up ahead of time and they had advertised that as long as there were 2 people, they would go. Two days before we were supposed to go, Kevin Bradshaw (the owner) notified us he had to cancel due to "water taxi problems". He tried to talk us into a lesser trip with a 45 min to 1 hr. paddle in & out of the harbor (boring!) We declined. Then "miraculously" a day before we were supposed to go, he notified us that another paddler had signed up and we could go! Apparently, Kevin doesn't typically go on trips (sending his employees), but he had decided to take this one. So once we got past this hurdle, everything was fantastic. Moral: Don't settle for "seconds".

5.00Fantastic tour! We took a boat ride out to the Broken Islands, kayaked around (water was very calm), lunch, more kayaking and boat ride back. Guides Nolan and Mick were fabulous. They made us feel safe and comfortable. The scenery was magnificet with seals, eagles and a whale sighting. Definitely recommend!

5.00We did the one day tour in the Broken Group and were the only guests on that day, which was great for us - as some companies cancel not sufficiently booked trips. We had a wonderful day of paddling 24 km with our well experienced guide Joanne, in smooth conditions, sunny and the sea flat like a mirror, exploring much of the Broken Group. When combined with a taxi boat from Uculuet, the islands are a great day trip!
