We spend the first part of the tour along one of the most exciting restaurant districts of Brooklyn. Wandering up and down Smith Street in Carroll Gardens, we stop into many of the local mom and pop businesses.
Carroll Gardens
As we stroll through this picturesque neighborhood we learn how it got its name, about its history as an Italian and Irish heritage neighborhood, and how the waterfront helped transform it. We meet residents and shop owners and taste some great pastries.

5.00Lee did a great job on our food tour. We enjoyed the information we learned about Brooklyn and really enjoyed the tour of Brooklyn. The food selections were a little disappointing as they all had bread but one stop. For gluten sensitive people, there are no other options. The croissants were well fernented so it didn't bother me. We also thought the food would be much more filling than it was. I've done a food tour in Little Havana, Miami before and we were full so that's what I compare things against. Lee did a great job regardless!

2.00I’ve been on a bunch of food tours before, and this was my least favourite. In comparison to what I expected there was relatively little food: half a croissant, half a bagel, half a slice of pizza, a chocolate, a small pastry, 3 mini biscuits. We found it hard to “connect” with our guide and it felt like a long 3 hours.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of Brooklyn. Sara took us to some wonderful family owned food businesses where we tasted a variety of delicious food. She also gave us fascinating insights into the Brooklyn neighbourhoods. Highly recommended!

5.00Sara took us through three different neighborhoods and we did 7 tastings, all in 3hours. It was really great to discover that area of Brooklyn and these businesses. We appreciated learning about the history and looking at the architecture! I’d recommend this tour for those who’ve already done the more touristy discoveries in New York! Thanks Sara !

5.00Great overview of the Brooklyn Heights Neighborhood. It helped to orient us before we wandered around afterwards. All the food we tasted was great. Our guide was great with checking in on everyone. At the end she was really good about finding out what we were doing next and helping to get us to our next spot. I would tell folks who are coming, to pay attention to the weather because you move towards and away from the water and so the temperature can vary throughout the tour.
