What a lovely time we had with Zoltan, what a nice guy with good energy. He made our trip to Budapest complete. The food tour was the highlight of our trip, we learned some history and culture that made us appreciate the delicious food even more.

I did the Budapest food tour last week and I couldn’t recommend it enough! As a solo traveler, I got to meet lovely people and immerse myself well with what I truly came here to see— the culture— via the most delicious, local cuisines. The food was delicious, picking prime spots for reliable truly local experience. Gabor was so lovely and knowledgeable. He explained the history and background of each dish, as well as guiding our route between restaurants across some of the most beautiful landmarks as well.

We really enjoyed this walking tour of Budapest together with our guide George including the history of the city and the country Hungary, modern cultural norms, and local food and wine. Our guide was very considerate and patient with our many questions, much better than similar experiences we had with guides in Munich and Vienna in the week prior. Well done!

One of the best food tours we have done, and we have done a lot. Zoltan was so personable and fun to be around, explaining both history of the location and the history of the foods we were trying. There was a lot of food. Go with an empty stomach because you will be full by the end.

The food tour was a fabulous insight into Hungary and its people. Zoltan was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who had an enormous knowledge of Hungarian culture, politics and history. The food offerings were diverse and we got a great look at Budapest walking to the various venues. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much Zoltan!

We try to do food tours everywhere we travel. Secret Food Tours with Zoltan was so much fun! We loved Zoltan's stories. The food was excellent. We got to go to some really cool places. I highly recommend!

We did the Budapest Food Tour last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a walking tour that balanced sightseeing with plenty of opportunities to try a wide range of traditional Hungarian dishes, all of which were delicious. The timing and pacing were spot on — relaxed but never rushed. Our guide, Zoltan, really made the experience. He wasn’t just going through the motions; he was engaging, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the food and the history of Budapest. It felt personal and well thought-out rather than scripted. Overall, it was a fantastic way to experience the city and its food culture. Couldn’t fault it at all and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest.

It was worth every HUF! Zoltan introduced us to so many tasty dishes, supplying history, culture, and context. The tour was well-paced with enough time at each stop to enjoy the culinary offerings. We learned so much about Budapest, its people and food. Highly recommend.
