During the tour you will see also the Holocaust Cemetery, the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park with the Weeping Willow Tree of Life, the Circle of the Righteous Gentiles, the Heroes' Temple synagogue (unless it is closed for ceremonial preparations).

Please respect the dress code: regular clothing can be worn, however shoulders and thighs must be covered. Legs have to be covered down to the knee before entering, beach-type outfit is not acceptable (cover available for purchase on the spot). Head cover for men is available upon entry.
Visitors must go through a security control. Large backpacks or suitcases are not allowed nor can be stored.

5.00Guide , Miki, was outstanding. He was very intense and deeply connected to his subject. We learned so much! We were only 4 people in our tour so it was very private. Learned the Jewish history of Budapest, the history of the synagogue and all its various parts, especially the organ. As stunning as the interior is, we found the hero’s synagogue ‘s simplicity to be very beautiful as well. The garden area with the incredible Tree of Life, memorials to the Righteous and plaques about famous Jewish Hungarians pulled the whole experience together. The Jewish museum was ok but nothing special. Thank you Miki for allowing to learn so much from you as well as your patience in answering all our questions, especially the musical ones!
