Great / Central Synagogue (Nagy Zsinagoga)
First, we will visit the Dohány Street Synagogue (interior visit), which is the largest in Europe and the second largest in the world.
Hungarian Jewish Museum and Archives
You also get a local guided tour in the Jewish Museum, where you see the Hungarian Jewish heritage through a unique collection of art pieces from Hungary and Eastern Europe, and the rich tradition of Judaism, its holidays and everyday life. A separate room commemorates the Hungarian Holocaust.

5.00If you want to know about the history of the Jewish people in Budapest this is the tour for you. Ben was unbelievable articulate and knowledgeable and prided himself on sharing this history. By the way you also see two amazing synagogues and the ghetto area.

5.00This was one of the best tours we have experienced in 6 weeks travelling around Europe. In fact, our tour guide was one of the best tour guides we have ever met. His level of knowledge, his willingness to engage with all the tour party, his enthusiasm for content, his willingness to take discussions further, he went over time, it was a fantastic tour and highly recommended. Given that most of the people on the tour were not Jewish, it was very interesting. These people learnt a lot about what has really been going on in Budapest in the past few hundred years, and the tour guide was absolutely fabulous.

5.00Benjamin was our tour guide. One of the BEST tours ever. Our guide was so very well educated on every part of the country’s history, politics and Judaism religion and history. He took every question from both knowledgeable and less educated participants. No question was left unanswered. So very happy we had Benjamin as our guide!

5.00This tour provides and in depth picture of Budapest's Jewish community in the present, and especially during World War II. We need to remember the past in order to prevent atrocities in the future. Our tour guide was exceptional and knowledgeable.

1.00The guide and 3 travellers became separated ...no contact number ,one gentleman rang your office boss said she did not have guides number so whole time spent looking for her ,found at end of tour ..not good....if group of 20 too large dont do it and no microphone makes it almost impossible to hear
