Welcome to Foodapest! Our brand new Evening Food Tour, designed for 2026 explores Budapest’s flavors after dark, offering a culinary experience that will make your stay in Budapest truly memorable.
This guided experience takes you through the city’s vibrant culinary scene, featuring authentic Hungarian dishes, street food, and local drinks as well.
During our tour, you get to try the classic Langos, Chimney Cake, a selection of Hungarian traditional dishes like Goulash or other seasonal meals that are selected based on the season's availability, ensuring a unique experience each night.
In our selection of various flavors, we also take you through some of the iconic locations of the city, illuminated by the evening lights, guaranteeing sights that will take your breath away. Enjoy a journey that blends history, culture, and traditional flavors under the city's glowing lights.
Important Note: We only serve alcoholic drinks for travellers 18 years old and above.

3.00Lucy was knowledgeable And a good guide. The walk through the market was nice, the chimney cake and langosh was good as were the minor tastes of pickles and sausage/salami. However the main restaurant, Grinzingi , was poor. They neglected to add any beef in the goulash, so it was basically potato and tiny dumpling and the dessert, the crepes, did not have any filling. The food photos outside of the restaurant did not in any way resemble what was served to the tour group. Maybe they treat dining customer better than food tasting tours but I can’t comment as ours and the rest of the groups, 12 in total was the same. Not worth the time and money wasted.

5.00Emma was a wonderful tour guide and all the spots we hit had great local Hungarian food! We enjoyed the national liquor of Hungary, some beach/street food, traditional goulash, and plenty of other dishes and drinks. Bring your appetite, fantastic tour! Had a really great time!

5.00Nikki and Lucy were wonderful hosts. Our group of 9 was introduced to multiple traditional Hungarian foods, wines, and spirits. The tour started at Central Market and finished at a local restaurant with street foods in between. They also accommodated a vegetarian in our group. Our tour was both fun and educational.

5.00Thank you Birdie for a fun and wonderful food tour around Budapest. Birde was super friendly and shared so good information about the city and local foods while we walked the streets. Our stomaches were full afterwards... although we craved to get more chimney cake and langos during our stay!

1.00This was cancelled due to my husband and me being the only participants. At first we were told it was due to a scheduling conflict. That was infuriating because I had booked 3 months in advance! Very disappointing, especially because other operators are happy to give us a private tour when this happens.
