Buggy, Lava tunnel and Burger. The tour starts at our base at Lambhagavegur 13, 113 Reykjavik where we will do the breifing and get dressed for the comming adventure. Five hour trip with a visit to the Lava Tunnel, a must see and one of the longest lava tubes in Iceland. Raufarhólshellir is an underground tube created by the mighty power of a volcanic eruption over 5.000 years ago. After the visit we drive to our neighboring village Hveragerði for a burger in the Greenhouse, a terrific food market. The village Hveragerði is probably the "hottest" village in Iceland, whereas geothermal heat is just few feets under the inhabitants and greenhouses are there in abundance. One of the best burgers in Iceland is served in Gróðurhúsið. A true celebration for both eyes and stomach! This experience was great. We went took two four seater ATVS with the local guide for five hours, with two adults one teenager and two kids (12 and 9) and all members of the family had a blast, Originally, we booked for the Lava Tunnel but we spoke to the guide about fitting in another activity and we were able to go see nearby geysers as well as a beautiful mountain near a lake. On the way we saw beautiful scenery; sheep and horses, lakes and mountains and carpets of moss as far as the eye can see. We went offroading the majority of the time which was lots of fun and not too difficult, the path was fun for children and adults. The guide checked on us regularly and was very accomodating. We had a great time at the Lava Tunnel experience which is a must see, and the guide handled everything we just had to walk in and put our helmets on. Later he took us to the geysers and we toured and took photos, and then finally to the huge lake and mountain. All of the staff is very accommodating and kind, would love to return someday for more tours with our new friends at Buggy Iceland!
