Hidden beneath the surface of Jeju Island, a former national military communications bunker has been transformed into Korea’s first immersive media art museum: Bunker des Lumières.

This unique cultural space invites you to step into a world where light, sound, and art converge on every surface — from floor to ceiling — creating an unforgettable sensory journey.
The exhibitions change periodically, each offering a completely new atmosphere depending on the featured artist. With every visit, you'll encounter a different emotional experience, making it a must-see for art lovers and curious travelers alike.
Exhibitions:
  1. Kandinsky: The Odyssey of Abstraction
    A vibrant tribute to Vasily Kandinsky, the pioneer of abstract art in the 20th century. Travel through his artistic journey from Moscow to Munich to Paris as color and rhythm fill the immersive space with energy and emotion.
  2. Paul Klee: Painting Music
    Experience the poetic harmony of color and sound in the works of Paul Klee — a painter and musician. This exhibition turns Klee’s childlike yet philosophical pieces into a visual concert of light and movement.
  3. Seogwi – The Farewell Symphony
    An immersive exhibition exploring Jeju’s nature, spirituality, and the cycle of life and death. Drawing inspiration from Buddhism’s “Western Paradise” and Jeju’s mythology, the exhibition reinterprets these themes through modern sensibilities. Visitors follow the natural elements of water, wind, fire, and breath, experiencing the boundary between life and death through evocative visuals and soundscapes.
