A wonderful combination of an old vintage funicular train which dates back to 1893 and the world's first and still only CabriO cable car. A splendid view onto a chain of 100 kilometers of the Swiss Alps and 10 Swiss lakes. Charming Rangers are leading the way around the summit trail. Culinary delights you will experience in the revolving restaurant.
We recommend to buy a boarding pass (time reservation) in addition to the ticket.

1.00There was NO skipping the line. We had to go through the same process as those who showed up without tickets. I’m fact, it would have been less time had we not bought the skip the line pass. They had to look up our tickets and verify them.

4.00Viator purchase gets you the token for up and down the mountain. (Yes you can hike down). The train ride is nice, and the Cabrio was nice and smooth. Colder on the outside as you get higher. Nice restaurant and gift shop.

5.00April 21, 2023. Saved almost $100. over the River cruise tour price. We took the 15 minute train ride from Lucerne to Stans for $8. The weather in Lucerne was cold, overcast, foggy & drizzly so was really worried when we were blinded with, what turned out to be, a cloud. I was looking upward but turned around and to my complete amazement, we were above the clouds with the most incredible view of blue skies and snow capped mountains! It turned out to be warmer on the mountain top in the sun! In the pictures you can see the clouds below (not glaciers). Florida girl went to the top of the world!

5.00What a fun experience. It seems to be not on all the major tour lines itinerary, so the experience has a more chill and relaxing vibe. My wife and I enjoyed the ride, with a viewing platform on top of the gondola all the way to the top! On top there is a restaurant, gift shop, and there are hiking trails. Highly recommend doing this experience if you’re in the area for a couple of days.
