Join us on this tour if you're looking for authentic, home-cooked and street Egyptian food in two different neighborhoods in Cairo. The first area is West Elbalad,downtown Cairo where will be meeting and kicking off with some national drinks. A sense of home-cooked food prepared like Egyptian grandmothers used to cook everyday is so nice. The second area is the iconic of the local Cairo where you can explorer Cairo off beaten pavement, the real lives of people, tuk tuks and the local markets. A sandwich of taameya like typical Cairenes use instead of falafel and a plate of Koshary are authentic experiences between locals! 6+ stops will let your belly dance with the Egyptian food. There is no waste food on our journey, so if you can't finish your portion, vou can take the leftovers or leave it simply to any person in need on the streets. Can't wait and YALLA BINA!

5.00Excellent food tour - explaining the dishes and talking about people and places. A chance to see interesting streets and neighbourhoods on the edge of Downtown, guided by Ahmed and Shorouk with one of their daughters. You get a sense of the city street life at night. We went at the 7pm slot and it lasted about 3.5 hours, we didn’t count the number of stops but it was a great amount of food. Highly recommended!

5.00We had a Wonderful evening with Ahmed and his family. Eating delicious local foods, sharing stories and learning about culture differences and similarities. I highly recommend to try this tour. 5.00Ahmed was fantastic at guiding us through a local and authentic journey of cairo food. We experienced many different types of food, entering restaurants or street stalls we would never have found by ourselves. The food was delicious. The owners very friendly. We learned a lot about culture and customs too. Thanks Ahmed for a great evening. Highly recommend

5.00· Our guide Ahmed showed us around some of the locally rooted shops that regular travelers can't go to, and explained the history of the shops and the city. ・Everyone who participated was friendly and was able to participate without anxiety. ・They will introduce you to some of the shops that you are personally interested in about Cairo and Ahmed's recommendations, so you can ask people who are going to join them. ・I can’t disclose the contents, but I visit several shops, so please be careful if you eat small ^^

5.00This was such a fun experience. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teens. We loved our time on the tour. Our guide was kind, attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, our daughter wasn't able to finish the tour and we ended up having to leave before the conclusion of the tour. We all would absolutely book this experience again.

5.00Ahmed and Shorouk gave us an excellent food sampling tour while taking g good care of our dietary needs. Highly recommend this tour to get a feel for the street life in Cairo away from the normal tourist spots.

5.00Wow, where do I even begin? This is by far the best food tour we've been on across the globe! This was more than just a food tour, it was genuinely such a wholesome experience. Meeting the family was so lovely, learning about them and local culture. Their little one gave us great company for the first part of the experience. Ahmed is super accommodating, and on the spot thought of great alternative options for us, as we didn't communicate our dietary requirements in advance. He took us to amazing food spots, and we learnt so much about Egyptian food and culture whilst tasting the iconic foods and drinks. Beyond that, we connected so well as if we've known each other for years! It was such a pleasure to start the first day of our Egypt trip with him. He set the bar so high, that every other tour guide we had to visit the temples felt soulless! He was also very caring to help us get a taxi back home safely. Highly recommend this, and if you have time, their cooking class too!!!

5.00Best experience in Cairo. Run by an actual local family just out of passion, not a tour company, very genuine and no scams. Highly recommend trying it. Good sampling of many local dishes in restaurants you would never find or go to as a tourist. Great time!
