The overnight tour to Calendula Falls in Malange was truly extraordinary. From the moment we left Luanda, the entire experience felt like a moving glimpse into the heartbeat of Angola. We drove through several cities and towns, witnessing life shift from the fast-paced rhythm of the capital to the slower, peaceful cadence of rural villages a contrast that made the journey as meaningful as the destination. The botanical gardens were lush and calming, but nothing compares to that first breathtaking moment when Calendula Falls comes into view. It’s pure natural beauty on an almost spiritual level — powerful, untouched, and unforgettable. The guided hike from the falls to the hotel took about an hour across challenging terrain, and with good boots and expert guidance, it became one of those adventures that makes you feel vibrantly alive. The hotel and food provided the perfect warmth and comfort afterward, a soft landing after an exhilarating day. One of the absolute highlights was lunch along the Kwanza River, where we enjoyed fresh fish prepared right on the spot. Eating that meal surrounded by nature felt authentic, peaceful, and deeply connected to Angola’s culinary and cultural roots. The next morning’s hike to the Black Rocks added even more magic dramatic landscapes, unique formations, and a sense of quiet power that made the experience feel almost otherworldly. Yes, the drive is long about seven hours each way but the scenic stops and thoughtful pacing made it smooth, enjoyable, and part of the adventure itself. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Angola. It’s beautifully curated, deeply enriching, and something I can’t wait to experience again

Great experience, beautiful scenery, prettier in real than in photo. Etson is a great guide, professional and adorable.

During our trip to Angola, we have had Luzaya’s help to organize the visit to Pedras Negras, Kalandula and Mirador de la Luna. Our guide, Etson, has taught us the country with joy and professionalism. Recommended!

I had a great tour with Luzaya in Angola. My first day I did a city tour of Luanda where my guide was Danny. It was a great and informative tour. I then did a two-day trip to Calandula Falls with my guide Etson who was also fantastic. The falls are a long trip but it’s so spectacular and worth it. This company also provided very reasonable prices compared to others I saw. All meals were included too. Highly recommend!

This was one of the most memorable trips I ever had. This all inclusive trip involves long drives and totally worth it. The falls were beautiful, there was no one else that day at the falls and the hotel we stayed it. It felt like connecting to the nature through the Falls and nature. My room was directly overlooking the falls, one of the best view hotel room I ever had. Our guide Ateson was great, drove well, gave us enough information and made sure we are comfortable, took pics where we wanted. I am vegetarian and he arranged that without any issues. Our car had water, snacks, and soft drinks, which was very nice. Rarely do you see a tour company providing you anything other than water. I did Luanda city tour also with the same company and I was very happy with that too. If you are planning a trip to the Calandulla falls, look no further, book this tour. Thank you Ateson for a great trip.

Etson was a fantastic guide who amazingly took care of every detail during our trip. The hours spent on the road enabled my partner and I to discuss a lot with Etson and learn about Angola (the region, the culture and the country in general). The only thing I can say is that it's worth it, the Botanical Garden, the Pedras Negras de Pungo Andongo (Black Rocks), the accommodation and Kalandula Falls took our breath away. We will never forget our first time in Angola. Thank you so much.

My wife and I used luzaya while visiting Angola. Our guide Etson spoke good English and he was great to speak to about Angola past and present. There's plenty of time in the car, but lot's of scenery along the way. The falls are amazing! The hotel was excellent, with lovely and generous meals.

I booked the “Calándula Falls – Night Tour in Malange” tour with VIATOR. BR-1124812325 Excursion operator / Tour operator: Luzaya. I called VIATOR numerous times to confirm times and routes. Everything perfect according to them. Everything controlled. Although according to VIATOR it was impossible to contact the local operator (Zulaya) but everything was under control. I called the local operator (Zulaya) more than 10 times and got no response. As the plane took off, the day before they called me from the tour operator (Zulaya) THAT IT HAS BEEN CANCELED, they are sorry but it cannot be Let's see if you understand: I arrive in Angola (Luanda) on the 12th at 9 p.m. On the 14th and 15th from 6 a.m. “Calándula Falls – Night Tour in Malange” and on the 16th at 9:50 a.m. departure from Angola, Luanda. That is to say, for three days that I had planned to visit Angola (Luanda), nothing at all. A totally wasted trip. Locked in the hotel and in the city center of Luanda. But nothing more. Are they really professionals? What's more, when I call so many times it is because I suspect something of this, because it is not normal for NO ONE to contact me or pick up my phone. Unpresentable. They have ruined my vacation due to incompetence. You cannot cancel an excursion of almost 500 euros the day before Eduardo Garcia
