There was good interaction with the elephants and you can tell they are very respected by their caretakers. Just know that if you get in the river after their mudbath, the workers will soak you head to toe whether you want it or not. Meant to be fun, so if you don't want to get soaked, don't get in :)

The sanctuary really cares for the elephants in their care and the safety and respect that their visitors should have with them. It was a wonderful experience. Loved it.

My experience with the Cambodian Elephant Half-Day Tour started off a little rocky as they were a bit late picking me up. However, once I arrived, it turned into an absolutely amazing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and highly knowledgeable about Asian elephants. There were three elephants on-site, and you could touch and feed them, which was such a unique and memorable experience. I also appreciated that there was no riding involved, which reassured me that the elephants were not being mistreated. For the most part, the elephants seemed well-cared for, and the sanctuary’s focus on ethical treatment was evident throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone—it’s not only educational but also a fantastic way to interact with these gentle giants responsibly. A must-do if you’re in Cambodia!
