• Fun and delicious small group cooking class!

  Chef Alberto’s “Cookin’ Cancún” class was such a great experience! He and his sous chef/mother, Lily, graciously welcomed us into their home to teach us some traditional dishes in a small group environment. I previously did a larger cooking class held at a local restaurant in Cancun, and this was much better for gaining hands-on experience and truly learning how to cook the food. Plus, it was a warmer and more intimate environment, which suited our family better. The salsas we made were smoky and delicious, and the guacamole the best my husband and daughter ever had! The beef birria was so good and I came away with the knowledge that I can truly, easily cook this in my own home. I’m looking forward to returning to Cancun and learning a few more dishes from Chef Alberto!

  Amazing experience! Need to have a small group — 2 people fit perfectly — 6 or 8 people would have been an uncomfortable event. Chef was incredible and abuela Lili was even better!! Learned so many new techniques and felt like we gained and abuela in our lives. 10/10 recommend for small groups or couples.

  What an amazing experience! Learning to cook authentic dishes while getting to know Alberto and his awesome mom (Lily) was such a great time. We did this with our college aged boys, and they loved it! Definitely book this experience!!!!

  Alberto and Lilly are the most warm, amazing people. Very clean and organized. They have great stories. I wanted to move in! The food was absolutely delicious. Highly, highly recommend. We hope to come back someday. Please try it, you will not be disappointed!

  10 out of 10 We had the most amazing cooking class with Alberto and his Mother! From the moment we arrived they made us feel so welcome that we completely forgot we were even in a cooking class - it felt more like spending time with family in their home. We learned so much about the food, the ingredients, and the traditions behind the dishes. Alberto explained everything so well and the cooking was absolutely incredible. The food we made (and ate!) was honestly out of this world. It felt like a real, authentic taste of Mexico and such a special experience. We’re already excited to try making the dishes again when we get home. Thank you both for such a memorable experience - we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting!

  My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this experience. Chef Alberto and assistant Lely (aka Mom) were welcoming, super friendly, and fully bilingual (we only speak English). Upon arrival we were greeted with hibiscus tea and then made tamales, green salsa, red salsa, pico de gallo, guacamole and tortillas all from scratch! Eating all our creations with a paloma cocktail (tequila, lime juice and grapefruit soda) was the perfect ending to the afternoon. There were lots of stories told and good laughter making the three hours fly by. In addition to Cookin' Cancun, check out Cookin' Los Cabos and Cookin' Puerto Vallarta which are hosted by Alberto and Lely's other family members.

  An authentic experience cooking delicious Mexican recipes Alberto & Lili welcomed us into their home. Excellent instruction, we learned new techniques of food preparation. Entrees, salsas and tortillas made from scratch. Definitely worth the price!

  Great experience! The food we made was delicious. The class is held in the chef’s home which also gives a glimpse of how real people live in Cancun. Our hotel arranged transportation so we felt safe venturing out. I would highly recommend this class.

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience in this cooking class! Alberto was friendly, helpful, and a great teacher. He and his mom were so warm and they really do want you to feel like guests in their home cooking with them. The food and drinks were delicious! I highly recommend booking this class.
