The Cañadon Experience is a medium difficulty trek that allows us to travel along the riverbed of the Calafate Creek, until we reach the 25 de Mayo Stay Section. The surrounding hills form a canyon that invites you to discover it enjoying the stream, always safe from the wind that the valley offers. In the course of the walk you will see a lot of birds, river trout and flora characteristic of the steppe. They are 7 kilometers on the rise where you will travel through canyons, streams, geological formations containing marine fossils that show that the environments that are transited were mutated over the years. Trekking culminates when you arrive at the Section, house located 800 meters above sea level, in a valley with a magnificent view of the hills, ideal for relaxing and enjoying lunch.

The tour is private by vehicle. During lunch you can share with other passengers of another excursion if any.

Estancia 25 de Mayo

Cañadón Experience is a trekking that allows you to cross the bed of the Calafate stream until you reach La Estancia Section 25 de Mayo, located 800 meters above sea level. Crossing canyons and streams, we go back on foot to the valley that will take us into unexplored landscapes of Patagonia. During the walk we will see a large number of birds, river trout and flora characteristic of the steppe. Upon reaching the section, lunch is offered at the house with a view of the landscape. The descent is undertaken in 4x4 trucks.

Great experience, great guides and great food. Cannot really emphasize all that enough. The experience was made all the better by the beautiful landscape.

We booked this trip not really knowing what to expect other than we wanted to see more of El Calafate. We LOVED it. Nacho was a fantastic guide and driver. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and also about the history of Argentina in general - really interesting and good company. We saw fossils, burial sites, huge skies, vast landscapes and of course guanacos. We took the afternoon trip and finished the day off with dinner (amazing lamb stew, we had two portions) wine and gentle jazz music at the gaucho house hosted by Claudia. Thank you Nacho for making our trip so fun and interesting!
