For the River Wild adventurer who would like to ditch the watercraft entirely, canyoning is the adventure for you! There is no better way to see Scotland (in our opinion) than by having your feet in the water of a river canyon. Once into the canyon, you will follow the river downstream through various modes, ranging from scrambling on foot, sliding, jumping, or abseiling.
Laggan Canyon (or Allt na h-Uamha canyon to use its official name!) offers a great selection of scrambles, slides, jumps and abseils on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. It’s a perfect environment for beginners and experienced canyoneers alike because there are several options of activity available during the descent.

THE EQUIPMENT: - We’ll provide the following: wetsuit, canyon harness, helmet, neoprene accessories as required (e.g., gloves), specialist footwear (UK sizes 4-12), even a glasses strap if needed. THE FACILITIES: - As we are a mobile operation our facilities are a little more rustic than a traditional outdoor centre, however, we still take the comfort of our customers seriously, so we have ensured we are able to provide toilet facilities. - We provide changing robes for all our clients to make your changing experience as private and comfortable as possible. - Changing buckets are also provided so you have somewhere to stand whilst changing but also to transport wet kit back to our base without getting your dry clothes soaked.

5.00Absolutely amazing experience! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our canyoning. Very knowledgeable and patient instructor Bonnie guided us through the canyon. I was nervous of the jumps but Bonnie gently encouraged me! Great to push yourself out of your comfort zone sometimes! Great quality equipment and wetsuits, loads of photos taken and shared with you after included in the price as well as a hot drink and snack at the end. Thank you very much Bonnie and Jen 😃

5.00This was our second outing with River Wild after previously doing the white water rafting. They provide all kit needed and it’s of great quality, Bonnie and Jen are super knowledgeable and great at putting minds at ease if slightly nervous about anything. Would 100% recommend this company. Very professional from start to finish and have the added bonus of providing quality photos from the trip

5.00Our canyoning with Bonnie from River Wild Adventures was one of the best I’ve been on. The service from beginning to end was faultless and we even had the opportunity to do several of the jumps and slides more than once if we wanted to, which are great for people of all experience levels. All topped off with an unexpected hot drink and a snack at the end. Highly recommend.

5.00Had the most amazing experience with Bonnie today! Such a great tour guide. We have done canyoning with a few companies in different places and this is by far the best! Well worth the 3 hour drive and we even got a wee cuppa & biscuit to end the trip which I thought was a great touch. Definitely be back.

5.00Best canyoning experience ever! Our guides were safety conscious, helping us with extra layers, great changing arrangements, hot drinks, and letting people skip any obstacle they want. But also a great chance to experience some big drops, high jumps and cool waterfalls. They don't hold back on the fun, either!

5.00The canyoning experience with River Wild Adventures was fantastic. The staff wad very professional and made us feel safe throughout. At the same they were also superfun and gave us options to redo parts of the trail that we liked it. Even got a a snack and a hot chocolate at the end! Thanks a lot team!
