Shanine was an excellent guide for my hike! I was a little nervous about being a slow hiker, but the whole experience went really well and I worked through my fear of heights. In the end, what I had anticipated was much worse in terms of difficulty and scary factor. Shanine was gracious enough to take lots of photos for me along the way and I felt very comfortable during the hike. The views were exceptional and totally worth it. I also love that it was such a private experience and we timed it to miss the big crowds. Well done to Wild Things Africa!

Rob was amazing, his knowledge of the area made the hike even more enjoyable, he made sure we all were all ok every step of the way. I cannot recommend the sunset hike enough.

Shanine, our guide, did a great job of getting us up and down the mountain safely and at a manageable pace. There was a lot of scrambling, so this was really important! She also took photos and videos of us as we went, which was a great way to get documentation of my friend and I actually doing the hike. While it was a cloudy day without a view, Shanine’s humor made it enjoyable and she safely helped us navigate back down before it got too dark. She also provided us headlamps so we could see where we were going even when it did get dark!

It was an amazing experience to start our journey in Cape Town! Shanine was really professional guide and kept us safe back😉 The view was stunning and definitely a must do trip!!

Our tour guide was amazing and very helpful. He took his time with me and my friend as we went up and down the mountain. And even took us back to our hotel afterwards.

Our hike was brilliant made so much better with Robs, amazing knowledge of the hill and surrounding area. He explained how we'd approach the hike and ensured it was what we wanted for the hike. He took the time to point out the different types of rock, the various bushes and plants and the wildlife we would likely see. He was without doubt a brilliant guide.

This was the highlight of our visit to Cape Town! The views and photos were wonderful. The ladders and chains were straightforward and we had great guidance from Rob. We took it steady and he showed us how best to use our hands as well as our legs. Coming down was harder than going up but Rob showed us how best to do it for our aged knees (we’re fit but in our late sixties). A great experience, it was warm and sunny on top and coming down we had a short shower and then a rainbow over Cape Town! Rob was great, a true professional mountain guide, very knowledgeable and good company and conversation. We felt safe all the way. He took some great photos, carried my camera case over the tricky bits and waited with us for our Uber at the bottom. A wonderful experience. Thanks Rob!
Climbing the Lions head

The journey started at 4:30 til 8:30 from daytime to nighttime. I could watch magnificent view of camps bay, table mountains and the city. And climbing the rocky mountain would give you the most challengable but unforgettable memory.

Great Guide and a Great Tour. Was possible for us incl. our 11 & 14 year old daughters. Upward approx 1.5 Hours. Rob was a very sensitive, gentle and flexible Guide with many years of outdoor and hiking experience. Up and downeards there were at least 3 alternative routes possible with varying degree of difficulty.
