What You’ll Do You’ll join a guided hike up Platteklip Gorge, the most direct and iconic route to the summit of Table Mountain. Together we’ll follow the stone steps that wind steeply up the mountain, stopping along the way to enjoy breathtaking views over Cape Town, Lion’s Head, and the Atlantic Ocean. Your guide will share local stories about the mountain’s history, geology, and unique flora and fauna. Once at the summit, you’ll have time to explore the flat-topped plateau, take in panoramic views, and capture unforgettable photos. If the cable car is operating, you’ll descend effortlessly; otherwise, we’ll hike down safely as a group.

5.00Had an excellent time with Donovan! The gorge was amazing, even in cloudy weather, and the hike was challenging but doable. You'll have to pay for the cable car down if you don't want to walk, but the cost is negligible and the cable car has a rotating platform that gives great views on the way down.

5.00We did an awesome hike with Donovan up Table Mountain! He was an excellent guide and we saw incredible views along the way! We started bright and early at 6:00 which was an excellent decision as we missed the heat of the sun most of the way and were able to hike in shade. As we climbed to the top, Donovan stopped to show us interesting plants and flowers along the way and take great photos for us. I would highly recommend this hike with Donovan and felt it was worth every penny!

We were looking forward to the hike, but slightly unsure about logistics, etc beforehand, but Don was clear in his communication and made sure we were able to prepare appropriately. More than this though, Don is a genuinely great guy, and clearly a very experienced guide. We enjoyed chatting to him throughout the journey (without it being forced like I’ve felt on other tours in the past) and he managed breaks appropriately according to our ability/fitness. He also took some epic photos for us, and shared great insights about the walk and the city itself. I can’t recommend Don highly enough for making an awesome hiking route even better!

We were looking forward to the hike, but slightly unsure about logistics, etc beforehand, but Don was clear in his communication and made sure we were able to prepare appropriately. More than this though, Don is a genuinely great guy, and clearly a very experienced guide. 5.00Don was an awesome guide. Knowledgeable and as friendly as they come, he was the perfect combo of charisma and experience. Don listened to the concerns of the group and tailored the hike to our fitness level. He was full of interesting facts and stories, ensuring we were well-informed and entertained all the way to the top! He also know all the best rest spots and photo op’s, sending on pics and tips for future travels after our climb. Thanks for a top experience - highly recommend!

5.00I had an absolutely amazing hike up Table Mountain with Donovan as our guide! From start to finish, the experience was professional, safe, and incredibly fun. Donovan is extremely knowledgeable about the mountain and local nature. He made sure everyone felt comfortable and motivated throughout the hike. The views were breathtaking, and the entire tour was perfectly organized. I would highly recommend Donovan to anyone looking for an unforgettable Table Mountain experience!

5.00Don is a super guy, has your best interests at heart, he was great with our two teens - who were the first to the top! He chatted gave lots of recommendations for other stuff around to do - would absolutely use him again if we came back to Cape Town, superb!!!

5.00Don was an amazing guide and took us up such a beautiful route. Highly recommend to anyone visiting. He made sure we were safe, hydrated and took rest breaks when we needed them. We ended up being the only people on the hike which made it even more special and meant we could ask all the questions we wanted about CT.
