This award winning tour offers a unique, multi-eco experience. Kayak among the many small islands that make up St. Thomas' Mangrove Lagoon, including the pristine Cas Cay. This wildlife sanctuary and marine reserve is world famous for its winding, shallow waterways, beautiful mangrove trees with nesting birds, and colorful marine life. Hike and explore Cas Cay! Try your luck with a hermit crab race in a forest with an unusual community of thousands of hermit crabs. An eight minute walk along a level sandy, coral and shell rubble trail leads you to a dramatic area of cliffs with breathtaking views, tidal pools and a rare geologic blowhole. Relax and enjoy the sounds of the splashing water and the beautiful rock and cliff formations. Your guide will show you many new and interesting creatures and unforgettable places. After an eight minute hike back to the kayaks, you will don your mask, snorkel and life jacket and snorkel with colorful fish and sting rays.

At Virgin Islands Ecotours you will find a gift shop, restroom facilities, dressing rooms and lockers for your valuables.

The hike is 8 minutes in each direction on an uneven, level sandy trail mixed with coral rubble

Please bring a bathing suit and towel, shoes that can get wet, and sun protection including sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, etc.

Minimum age is 2 years old.

    The entire experience was amazing - the views, history and activities. Our guide, Francis, made our day exceptional with his dad jokes and deep knowledge of the area! We had four adults and three kids (ages 12, 9 and 7), and we all loved it. This tour is highly recommended!

    Small group that felt personalized. Enjoyed Francis, our guide who ensured that we had a good experience. Getting to the blowhole a bit tricky with sharp rocks. Make sure you were decent shoes for the hike. Appreciated the historic and botanical explanations that gave another perspective of the tropics.

    My family was a group of 7 and we had the absolute best time! Definitely the best excursion on our cruise. We were confused about ship time and local time and had to switch our tour time around last minute, Sibille was soo accommodating and made the day work seamlessly. Francis was top notch! Funny, knowledgeable, found us cool things to see during the snorkeling time frame. We honestly cannot say enough good things about the tour. Oh and my fitbit was left behind and they are shipping it to me. Messaged me after we already left to let me know. Get the picture package too!

    Alonso and Frances were the absolute best guides! They were extremely knowledgeable and showed us some of the most amazing sights on our tour. Alonso was super funny and told us some great jokes too. This has been my most memorable excursion EVER!! I would highly recommend this tour and make sure you get Alonso and Frances! They will keep you safe, and show you some of the coolest sights! We were lucky to see some beautiful fish, and even one of the biggest barracudas they have seen in Cas Cay!

    Truly a fantastic time! If you like a bit of exercise then this is for you. If your cruise is docked here and you don’t want to pay for their exorbitant price (which is almost double) then this if for you. Our guide, Justin, was very knowledgeable and kind. He let us adventure to our hearts desire and brought us up close and personal to the history and life of this place.

    Guides Alonzo and Francis were friendly, kind, helpful and full of interesting information! I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting St Thomas! The kayaking was just the right length through beautiful mangroves. Alonzo went above and beyond ensuring our snorkel time was filled with fish sightings. We even saw a large barracuda.
