8:00 - 8:20 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in the center of Cat Ba Town or meet us at (175, 1/4 stress, Cat Ba.) Transfer to Cai Beo Port. After receiving your ticket, you will board the boat and relax while enjoying the peaceful scenery of the floating fishing village. 8:30 - 10:00 AM: The boat will take you through Lan Ha Bay, where hundreds of stunning limestone islands create the majestic landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage site. Next, the boat will explore the Dau Be Archipelago, a pristine destination less known to tourists, located between Lan Ha Bay, Bai Tu Long, and Ha Long Bay. 10:00 AM: In a calm water area, you will kayak at Tai Keo Cave, exploring its serene surroundings and impressive limestone scenery. 12:30 PM: Swimming & Boat Jumping in Lan Ha Bay • Dive into the crystal-clear waters and enjoy fun-filled activities in the heart of Lan Ha Bay.
Lan Ha Bay
1:20 PM: Guests will return to the boat to enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch, fresh ingredients are prepared on the same day, sourced locally in the early morning. . 3:00 PM: Cycle through the jungle. Enjoy the peaceful scenery of mountains, rice fields, and quiet lanes far away from the busy town. 4:00 PM: Visit Monkey Island- Sunset Tea Break on Board Or Swimming. • Relax with a selection of tea, fresh fruits, and pastries as the cruise makes its way back to the harbor. During the relaxing sunset time, you can also swim in the bay once more. 5:00 PM: Return to Beo Wharf & Transfer Back to Town • The cruise ends at Beo Wharf, where our shuttle will take you back to the town center. Please note: The trip could be flexibly changed customer's due to the weather and the tide as well.

5.00Excellent one day your in the middle of the astounding Lan Ha Bay, mesmerising endless landscapes of limestock karsts and islets, hidden beaches and natural caves. It offers a good mix of slow contemplation of this incredible setting with some active moments for swimming, kayaking and biking. Food on board is good, abundant and included in the very reasonable price. Strongly recommend this tour for anyone willing to discover Lan Han Bay from CatBa Island

5.00Great experience with Gem boat team, guide speak good english, and we could a lot of thing in 1 day ; cycling, kayaking, swimming ... Very fun and great management of timing ! Only the food was a bit disappointing, with no fresh seafood but fried fish. Snack was good and proportion ok. Still good quality for the price.

A generally mid trip with multiple dishonest moments and bad communciation

2.00TLDR; I was expecting a bit more for the price honestly. Generally the trip was kinda mid (which would earn them 4 stars), but there were also quite a few dishonest moments (hence the low rating) which could have easily been solved with proper communication and setting the expectations correctly. The weather was cloudy but at least there were not too many tourist boats around. We had a few hours of going around the bay, and had the chance to take a swim (they even offered towels - nice). Then, there was some kind of mix-up with the kayaks so we went for the bike ride first. 6kms, nice scenery and nature; I quite enjoyed it after sitting on the boat for a few hours. After the ride we had lunch on the boat. Unfortunately, this was the first big letdown of the trip, as we were all expecting different kinds of dishes made from local fish (because the itinerary kind of hypes it all up). Regarding the proteins we got plain breaded and fried fish and only chicken and tofu besides that - no other seafood. Maybe the fried spring rolls had some shrimp in it, but if noone from the table could taste the shrimp, does it really matter? 😅 After lunch we went for the kayaking, which I reckon was some kind of backup location (due to the earlier mixup) because we did not get to explore the 3 tunnels or saltwater lakes the itinerary mentions: "you will kayak through three tunnels (Mekong Cave), discovering three beautiful saltwater lakes with a unique ecosystem". Again, I felt it could've been handled better with proper communication towards the guests. We completely skipped the Ba Men temple, which was another big letdown for me as I was looking forward to it. Our tour guide said that for environmental reasons they do not visit it anymore. I felt that keeping it in the tour description is very dishonest if it is not part of the official itinerary anymore. Unfortunately, our last stop - the Monkey Island - still had a final catch. For those not wanting to swim to the island (which was basically all but one guest) we could take a taxi boat. However, it did cost an extra 15k vnd per person (it was not a tip but the fee). I understand it's pocket change, but if the tour description says "All Fees and Taxes included" then I expect exactly that - to have everything included. Again, super dishonest. I genuinely feel sorry for our guide because he was a really nice bloke, but the dishonesty and lack of communication made this experience quite a negative one; Even though it could have been a chill "4 star" day trip.

5.00What an amazing experience it was !!!! A perfect family activity for the day when in Vietnam!!! Everything from the pickup from hotel, to transfer on boat, to the cleanliness, the tour guide Mr. PHUC, the kayaking, the route that boat takes is all amazing with least possible crowds !!!! Kudos to Phuc for his dedication and explaining everything perfectly!!!! The vegetarian food was so so yummy and huge portions with many varieties!!! Cycling through the village was an add on experience with baby seats and kids friendly cycles available !!! Over all amazing and 5 star rated for every single thing. You just buy the boat tour and not spend any single penny as hidden charges except beverages on board.
