As you venture ten miles into the rugged interior, you will view the protected side of Catalina Island seldom seen by most visitors. Naturalist onboard enriches experience with wildlife and inside knowledge of the areas visiting during the tour.

You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to boarding to check in. We leave promptly at the scheduled time and cannot wait. When booking travel to the island please make sure to give enough time from arrival to island to get to tour departure location.

We are located on Catalina Island, You must secure transportation to the island to take the tour. There are no refunds if you miss the tour.

TRAVEL TO CATALINA IS NOT INCLUDED. Transportation needed by Ferry to Island.

Children Under 5 will not be able to participate in the tour.

As you venture ten miles into the rugged interior, you will view the protected side of Catalina Island seldom seen by most visitors. Have the chance to encounter wildlife such as bison, deer, bald eagles, ravens, or even the Catalina Island fox. There is a photo opportunity around every turn as we climb to the Airport-in-the-Sky. At this stop, visit the Nature Center and peer down at one of Catalina’s original Native American gathering sites. The fee to the Catalina Island Conservancy directly supports the preservation of the animals, endangered species, and endemic plants on Catalina Island. Tours leave from The Cabrillo Mole. **we highly suggest you secure transportation to Catalina island prior to booking tour to confirm you can get to the tour as the boat to the island sells out quickly. Catalina Express or Newport Flyer for your transportation needs.

Expect a bumpy ride but very scenic! Very informative tour guide. Expect to finish with a bit of dust on you. It is a dust ride. I highly recommend this trip!! It would of been nicer if the driver went slower because with all the bouncing and with the speed it was a little hard to try to spot deer and other critters. Still all said and done this trip was done professionally and well worth the money!

The two hour inland adventure ride in an open bus type vehicle on Catalina was interesting. The narrator was very interesting in giving us the history of the island and the wildlife. We did not see any bison. Finally saw a pair of foxes on the return from the airport. Lots of scenic views from a bumpy road. I was expecting to see more wildlife.

We were fortunate to encounter wildlife that our guide mentioned he hadn't seen in some time. Among the highlights were sightings of bison and a fox.
Must do to complete your visit to Catalina Island.

A perfect way to see the interior of the island, although a bit of a rough ride due to road conditions. Shane was a great narrator and David (?) a good driver. There were clouds out from the islands that obstructed what would have been a glorious ocean and beyond view. Saw many bison and a fox and learned a lot about the terrain.

The ride out was good. we saw some animals up close and on some of the far ridges we saw what seem to be bison. we reach the airport and had a short break. Then turned around and went back the same way. the guide told us that we going to go back on the road that went on the otter side of the island where we would see eagles. but we went back the same way instead.

Interesting info about the island and spectacular views. Dusty bumpy ride and maybe hot, but got to see the wildlife and the tour guide was lots of fun.

This 2 hour excursion was exactly what I hoped it would be. While seeing both the city of Avalon and the uninhabited parts of the island, our guide, Tim, was extremely good and telling the history of Catalina. He fielded questions and was charming and eloquent. I highly recommend this tour

I give our guide, Tim, a 10. Entertaining & knowledgeable. Views were spectacular. Rating of 3 based on time management. Only 1 photo stop going up. At the airport, our group of 24 were given 11 minutes to use the facilities, visit the gift shop and take pictures. Not worth the price.

It may have been nice but because we were 4 minutes late our paid in advance tour left without us. The schedule for the boat would have given us 5 minutes to get there but unfortunately boat was 3 minutes late.
