Catalina Island Casino
The Catalina Casino is actually not a gambling facility but venue hosting dozens of big bands during the 1930s and 1940s. At 20,000 square feet, the Catalina Casino Ballroom is the largest circular room in the world without pillars for support. The outdoor promenade encircles the ballroom and overlooks the protected cove of Avalon Bay and Descanso Beach. Our tour passes by giving great views of this breathtaking landmark.

4.00Great history of city and good way to have each site pointed out. Tour guide was awesome and entertaining. More photo opps were needed especially in the mountains, although I’ve know idea where they could even stop for a great overview. Enjoyed being limited on number of participants. Ensured e eryone got to see.
Horrible customer service

1.00The people at the counter can use some classes on customer service. We were on a cruise and had to be tendered to land and they were short staffed . I called and told the lady what was happening and told her we were on the tender and ready to leave. It’s only about a 10 minute trip from the ship to Catalina Island. We ran over to the booth and the lady said they left 10 minutes ago. Well 10 minutes would have been BEFORE the time the bus was supposed to leave. She was rude and sounded annoyed with us. We missed the excursion due to NO fault of our own. We asked if there was anything we could do and she said the best we could do was allow us to use the tickets for a year. We were on vacation and don’t live anywhere close to Catalina Island.

5.00I learned so much about Catalina Island and the Wrigley family from Tim. And on top of that - he’s a great singer! The check-in experience was easy and the bus was comfortable.
