  Audra was amazing! She knew all of the history of the island having lived there for her whole life. She knew the answers to all of our questions and took us to areas that we would not have known about otherwise. We will definitely request her next time we come back.

  What a great way to start our day on Catalina! They picked us right up at the ferry. Our guide, Audra, was a gem. She has lived on the island for decades and started out by asking what things we were most interested in so she could tailor our tour. We love history so she sprinkled details about the Wrigley family, the island during WWII, and changes through the years. We were a full party of five so at stopping points we would change seats. There was plenty of room for five adults on the cart. We appreciated the advice on where to eat and what to do after the tour. Thanks, Audra, for a great start to a great day!

  The lovely Audra was a wealth of information. As a long-time resident, her insight was perfect. She took the time to get to know what we were interested in and tailored the tour especially for us. Was a great first thing to do on the island!

  Dudley was a fantastic guide. A local who grew up in Avalon, he shared a ton of interesting facts and tidbits about the history of the island.

  What a wonderful experience! Dudley was incredibly patient, especially since our ship’s tender boat left a bit later than expected. We learned so much about the island — its history, culture, and what’s happening there today. We had lots of questions and he answered them all with the kind of insight only a true local could provide. We visited Catalina Island last year and rented our own golf cart, following the map provided. This tour, however, was so much better — it gave us the chance to ask questions and really understand what we were looking at. We highly recommend Catalina Tour Guides, and if you ask for Dudley, you won’t be disappointed. He was definitely the highlight of our trip to Catalina Island!

  I had first taken this tour over 30 years ago but I was with my best friend for their first visit to the island. I knew that the tour would point out the many highlights of Avalon but forgot the colorful historical background. Letty, our guide, was outstanding with her wealth of knowledge and her special take on the island with a born and bred Chicagoan. Enjoyed every minute and worth every penny.

  100% recommend!! Art was our guide and he was fantastic. What was a day trip turned into a love for this beautiful island. We learned so much and saw such breathtaking beauty we can’t wait to come back!
