Half-Day Catamaran Cruise – Sail, Relax & Enjoy Cape Verde

Set sail on a relaxing half-day cruise along the southwest coast of Sal Island. Enjoy the breeze, sunshine, and ocean views aboard one of our spacious catamarans - with limited group sizes for a comfortable, personal experience.

Whether you sunbathe, sip a drink, or simply take in the views, this trip is all about slowing down and enjoying life at sea.

Please note: Due to the damaged pier in Santa Maria, boarding takes place from the beach via dinghy. Your feet may get wet.

During the trip, you’ll enjoy:

- Relaxed sailing along Sal’s beautiful coast

- Light snacks and drinks on board (note: not a full meal)

- A friendly, local crew and chill atmosphere

- A quick stop for swimming or snorkeling at the end (equipment provided), location depending on conditions

This is not a party cruise — it’s a calm, joyful experience.

Wildlife sightings are possible, but NOT guaranteed. The focus is on sailing and small-group comfort.

    Thank you again for this wonderful invitation to the catamaran excursion. These three hours at sea were a truly joyful and refreshing experience. Sailing in such a beautiful setting, with a welcoming crew and a relaxed atmosphere, was already fantastic… but seeing the dolphins so close made the experience absolutely unforgettable 🐬✨ A relaxing, magical, and deeply moving outing. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a unique moment surrounded by nature!

    The actual sailing experience was excellent - boat was good with plenty of space and crew were entertaining. A couple of rounds of drinks, nuts and cakes included which all went down well. Snorkeling was available for those brave enough to venture into the chilly water ! What was poor, was the communication regarding where to meet. Original instructions were to meet at Santa Maria pier, but since this has been washed away, this was not possible. No updated instructions were provided by the operator or Viator; we asked around and sought out the meeting place ourselves, which was at a minibus on the edge of the beach by the new Barcelo building site. We were fine as we are fairly fit, but the revised arrangements for getting to the catamaran involved a minibus ride to another beach, a walk across the sand to then get into a dinghy (tricky as the sea was slightly rough) and then getting from the dinghy onto the boat, with the same in reverse when we departed. Anyone with any even mild infirmity would have struggled to achieve this. These are arrangements are presumably going to remain until the pier is completed (some time yet) so should be communicated to guests before they book.

    We had a wonderful afternoon onboard. The amout of guest was just right, the crew was absolutely fantastic; so kind, helpful, attentative, fun, and absolutely impressive in multiple languages! The sun, wind, waves and blue sea, combined with relaxed musical tunes was so calming and a highly recommended experience. At the end of our trip, we both even went for a swim. Sadly we did not see dolphins or whales (we knew that seeing whales could be difficult this early in the season, but we hoped to have luck on our side..), and we chose not to snorkle because we thought the big waves would make it difficult to see any fish. Yet we still feel that the trip and amount of money was worth it. Due to several days with strong winds, it was difficult to find a day and time that could work for us, but we still got at trip because the staff went above and beyond for us and made it happend on our last day. To us this was a delightful exeperience, one of the absolute highlights of our holiday, and if I should be so lucky as to come back to Sal, I hope to be able to climb onboard again. And once again to all of you at CVS; thank you so much for the "hvilepuls" ❤️

    Because there was a lot of wind our catamaran trip was cancelled. However, we could a day earlier, which we did. That day there was also quite a lot of wind afterwards. What a shame that the wind shortened the route and we also did not go past Santa Maria. The time was also considerably shorter than indicated. We paid the full amount for this catamaran trip which in our eyes was not neat, in total it only took 2 hours. The crew was top notch, very friendly and helpful.

    4 adults and 2 children aged 10 and 8. They loved the experience and fun of the catamaran. The crew were very friendly and attentive. Relaxing and fun vibes. Chance for snorkelling at the end. We saw flying fish and a massive sea turtle.
