What sets this adventure apart is the expertise of our certified local interpreter, who brings deep knowledge of the area and its rich history. Join us for an off-the-beaten-path hiking and caving experience in El Sistema de Cuevas Arenales in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.

We’ll begin with a scenic walk alongside a river in the north-central part of the island, far from the usual tourist crowds. Immerse yourself in nature as we jump off canyon cliffs, swim through stunning caves, and learn about the history of the Taíno natives of Puerto Rico.

Please note that this is not a private tour. Transportation is included from a designated meeting point.

Embark on an exhilarating adventure at Charco Azul, where we’ll explore three unique caves nestled in a lush rainforest in the heart of the island. This tour offers a range of experiences from moderate to challenging, depending on your fitness level. We’ll start with a hike down to the river, where a thrilling jump marks the beginning of our adventure. Swim through the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the caves, discover a hidden waterfall, leap off canyon cliffs, and marvel at ancient Taino native markings. This tour can take around 7 hours from pickup to drop-off depending on the group. Charco Azul & Cuevas Arenales translates to Blue Pool & Sand Cave and is located in Vega Baja, PR.

This may have been my favorite visit to puerto rico because of this magical experience. Our guide was amazing, he was super knowledgable about everything in the surroundings, and mostly i can feel his connection to this place he was super passionate and everything was amazing from the time we got there until we left. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody. All equipment was top notch, we were picked up in a very nice van and always felt safe with our amazing guide. I would do this again with no hesitation. Very much worth the money as the experience was priceless to be this close to real puerto rican history💫💫💫💫💫 DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME. I did this with 3 kids and they all got through and were in awwwwww. Out of all the experiences of scuba diving, snorkeling, and anything else we did on this beautiful island all 3 of my kids agreed that this experience was their absolute favorite and wanted to go again. They loved the little cliff jumps into the water the best. My favorite part was seeing the smiles it produced and i will remember this forever

Was extremely fun and interactive I went with my dad and my two younger siblings and it was a one of a kind experience! He took a lot of great pictures and videos as well! Super friendly guy!!!

Great trip. The caves and swimming were amazing. This is a must see for anyone visiting PR. Easy drive from Condado. We have a 12 and 14 year old who love being active and this was perfect for them. Maybe a pinch of challenge for the 46 year olds but in a good way. Abdiel our guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable about everything we saw on the trip.

Our family had an amazing experience on the cave and waterfall tour in Puerto Rico. We had a wide range of ages with us, from 9 to 80, and our guide made the entire day feel effortless. He was incredibly patient and attentive, helping each of us navigate the terrain comfortably while making sure we always felt safe. His knowledge of the area added so much to the experience, and he took truly stunning photos along the way. Having all those pictures shared with us at the end was such a thoughtful touch and gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. It was a wonderful tour from start to finish and one we would highly recommend.
