What sets this adventure apart is the expertise of our certified local interpreter, who brings deep knowledge of the area and its rich history. Join us for an off-the-beaten-path hiking and caving experience in El Sistema de Cuevas Arenales in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.
We’ll begin with a scenic walk alongside a river in the north-central part of the island, far from the usual tourist crowds. Immerse yourself in nature as we jump off canyon cliffs, swim through stunning caves, and learn about the history of the Taíno natives of Puerto Rico.
Please note that this is not a private tour. Transportation is included from a designated meeting point.

Embark on an exhilarating adventure at Charco Azul, where we’ll explore three unique caves nestled in a lush rainforest in the heart of the island. This tour offers a range of experiences from moderate to challenging, depending on your fitness level. We’ll start with a hike down to the river, where a thrilling jump marks the beginning of our adventure. Swim through the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the caves, discover a hidden waterfall, leap off canyon cliffs, and marvel at ancient Taino native markings. This tour can take around 7 hours from pickup to drop-off depending on the group. Charco Azul & Cuevas Arenales translates to Blue Pool & Sand Cave and is located in Vega Baja, PR.

5.00Our tour with GeoAdventure to Charco Azul was absolutely amazing! I took my family hoping for a great experience, and it went far above and beyond our expectations. We enjoyed hiking, swimming, caving, and even cliff jumping for those who wanted the extra adventure. Along the way, we learned about local trees, plants, and the beautiful nature of the island, which made the experience even more special. To top it all off, we ended the tour with a delicious limber and wonderful photos that captured unforgettable memories with my family. Highly recommend GeoAdventure to anyone visiting Puerto Rico and looking for an authentic adventure experience. We will definitely call GeoAdventure again when we return to the isla

5.00Honestly, this was my favorite tour of the trip. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, professional, and made sure everyone had a great time while staying safe. I chose the transportation option, which was perfect because I definitely didn’t want to drive while on vacation.

5.00This tour is great! Great guides. There were young kids and older folks alike. I felt very safe with the helmets and life jackets. Some other groups did not have helmets. This was very possibly our favorite tour during our PR trip.
The tour guides had vast knowledge about everything you may want to know and ask plus they made sure everyone was safe

5.00The experience was wonderful since we reconnected with nature and met wonderful people. The price wasn’t expensive and the duration of the tour was good even for those who are not so used to physical activities. The atmosphere was very welcoming, peaceful and teamwork oriented with small groups all well supervised by experienced guides with actual knowledge and education about the flora, fauna and history. Best for giving your day and life some moment to learn and appreciate nature!

5.00This was an amazing experience. We had a tour with Mara who obviously loves Puerto Rico and is very knowledgeable about the geology and the plant life. We ended up on the tour with just my 4 family members and Mara tailored the trip to us including our 6 year old. She also focused on safety which was perfect with a family. It was by far our favorite tour while we were in Puerto Rico.

5.00We had a great experience w/ our tour guide Mara. She was great! Explained everything with eased. The whole experience was amazing from climbing rocks and jumping from the cliff to seeing nature. Definitely will book with her in the future!
