This bus tour from Invergordon features highlights from Outlander, Culloden, Castles, Loch Ness & Nessie! It packs in a lot for one day's tour and is very affordable and good value for money. Entrance to castle is INCLUDED.
Our tours are specially put together after taking feedback from YOU. We have surveyed your desires and requests and put them together in our tours. We provide a quality experience and a guide or driver guide on our minibuses or buses. Our guides are always excellent.
Please check the tour times on our website, as the times listed here are approximate. As a general rule tours leave 30 minutes to 1.5 hours after the arrival of the ship and return at least 1 hour before ship departure time.
This tour is usually in a bus unless it’s a small ship then it may be in an 8 seater minivan. If you wish a private experience contact us directly.

Culloden Battlefield
We will travel to the Culloden Battlefield, where the Jacobites lost many a soul in the 1946 uprising. This was the last battle to be fought on British soil. If time allows we will give guests a chance to walk on the battlefield. Depending on tour we may not stop but just drive by.
Culloden Viaduct
After a half hour visit at Clava Cairns, we will pop around the corner to see the famous Culloden or Nairn viaduct, designed by Murdoch Paterson and opened as a railway crossing in 1898. It is a spectacle to behold – there will be photo opportunities.

5.00We had a wonderful day excursion with Thistle Excursions ! Our guide Robbie was waiting for us when we disembarked from our cruise, and even wearing authentic Scottish attire. He guided our small group around Inverness to all of the amazing sites and did a wonderful job of explaining the vast history and cultural, in his thick Scottish accent... We had a wonderful day ! We highly recommend this excursion with Robbie !

4.00In Inverness, we only had 40 minutes instead of 1 hour. There was no stop in Culloden. Otherwise, everything was fine.

5.00we had an amazing time with Eleanor through the highlands! she was super friendly and easy to spot when you het off the boat. she drove all around with the mini van and telling amazing stories about the area. this tour let's you see so much in one day! the castle and the gardens are amazing and the battlefield is impressive. there is enough time to get food, and also some shopping time. you drive around Loch Ness and even visit a local farm. this is so great if you only have one day.

2.00We were lucky enough to do the tour only in two. Our guide provided us with plenty of information. Unfortunately, we did not see Nessie, although we have pointed out several times that this is our highlight of the tour. Time would have been moderate. And we had chosen this tour especially because you should visit Nessie here.

5.00My husband and I took this tour with Mo as our guide. We had an incredible time! Mo was informative and friendly. She made us feel comfortable with asking any questions we had and because it was just us and her, she was eager to show us everything she possibly could. We loved Mo and all the sights we got to see! Take this tour!

3.00Tour guide (Mo) was nice, but would say “over here there is xyz”, no idea if it was to right or left and often couldn’t see off bus. Loch Ness was very lame. The Robertson farm had 2 cows, no bathrooms, waste of time. Then the bus broke down. Would not recommend
