You might as well call Budapest “Food-a-pest” because the Hungarian capital is buzzing with delicious restaurants, and on this priority access food tour, we'll help you eat like a local, no planning required.
The tour starts at an old synagogue, offering a great introduction to the history of Hungarian cuisine since much of the food is heavily influenced by Jewish culture and tradition.
You'll get the best of both worlds when it comes to the city’s gastronomic scene, from local secrets to high-end spots. First, you’ll try some delicious street food such as traditional Hungarian soup and Lángos, a deep-fried flatbread.
After soaking in the eccentric atmosphere of the city’s party streets, we'll head to fancier spots for a sit-down meal. You’ll try Hungarian classics like nokedli dumplings and Flódni, a Jewish-Hungarian pastry. You’ll also sample alcoholic beverages like Pálinka and sweet wine from Tokaji, Hungary’s famed wine region, or alcohol-free options for sober travellers.

5.00An amazing tour! Well organised and our guide Kelly was super! She was chilled but soooo knowledgeable 😃 We visited the ruins bar which was amazing! Food was delicious, great portions so go hungry 😋 It was a good way to see the area, max walking distance was 10 mins but you cover a vast area. Would definitely book again x

5.00I had the chance to join this tour with local food and beverages. Kelly, our guide, was really good. She had lots of information about the food and beverages. On top, she took us to nice and hidden spots. If you have the chance, you should go for this experience.

5.00We booked the Food tour for our first day in Budapest and it was a great way to try out some Hungarian cuisine as well as enjoy hearing some history and see some sites. The food was tasty with generous portions and the variety of venues was good. Our tour guide, Kelly, was super friendly, enthusiastic and informative. She gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our trip too! We'd definitely recommend the tour if you're looking for something fun and informative to do

5.00Despite a dreary ugly sky we had a delightful eating and walking through Budapest. Much nthe creit belongs to our guide Peter. upbeat and fun all the way. A very relaxed experience. What a nice young man to spend 2 1/2 hours with. I would highly reccomend the tour and especially Peter. Great food tasting!
