Excellent experience. I was solo traveling and it was nice to have everything taken care of; I just had to show up, and the rest was taken care of. Truly breathtaking views, perfect weather, and our guide, Niels, was great. Couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity.

Absolutely worth every swiss franc! Our guide, Niels, was lovely and made the trip even better. His local knowledge really enhanced the experience. Going up Mont Blanc on the cable car was amazing. The Mer de Glace is worth all the stairs...and Chamonix was just beautiful. Don't hesitate! Treat yourself xx

We booked the tour late with other days completely full already, we believe thanks to a cancellation because of predicted bad weather earlier in the week. Thank goodness we got in - through and through, once in a lifetime. Guide Niels (probably spelled that wrong, sorry!) is fantastic. He’s been doing this tour four days a week for the last eight years and still, very clearly, enjoys it like he’s seeing it all for the first time. When people asked him if it ever gets old doing the same thing, he emphatically said “no, this is my playground. How could this get old?” So knowledgeable, so excited about Chamonix and Mont Blanc, one of the better tour guides we’ve ever had. He had the answer to everything, and did informational mini-tours throughout at each stop. As for the experience, truly once in a lifetime views. You go to the top of the French Alps. The view is incredible, and the photos do it justice up there. It’s so clear and so pretty. Absolutely 110% worth it. The town of Chamonix is so cute, and the perfect amount of time to explore is given. Then the ice caves in the glacier, it’s such a unique experience to see. It’s the most unique tour we’ve ever done, by a long shot. Pay attention to the warnings. If you’d struggle with hypoxia because of the lack of oxygen at the top of Aiguille du Midi, the heavier air is very real. My wife and I are in shape, and we felt a little lightheaded from time to time if we moved too quick. If you have a fear of heights, you’re completely safe but you’ll probably feel some distress with the cable cars given how steep some of the climb and descent is. And if you’re like me and say “let’s see if we can get there on our own to save a few bucks” … don’t try on this one. The drive is an hour out, through the French/Swiss border with guards on duty checking. Train? It’s 2.5 hours with three stops from Geneva. The weather can change on a dime, and having a tour guide be able to know if the cable cars and cogwheel trains are running is worth the price of it because it would be really hard to know with all the moving pieces to this trip. If you miss the last gondola up from the ice caves or the last train from the gondola back to Chamonix, the locals don’t care. You will be left behind in the cold to fend for yourself for the night. There’s literally a ladder back up the side of the mountain to the train station from the caves and it’s clearly been used recently. And then you’d have to hike down to the bottom of the mountain on top of that. Having our tour guide to keep us on time and where we need to be can save you from a grave mistake. If you made it this far, bravo. All in all, well worth the price for the entire tour. If you do the basic option, you’d be in Chamonix all day, which would be fun on its own. But buying your own tickets up and down would be tough unless booked in advance because when we looked a few days out, everything was already sold out. Just do yourself a favor and save the stress to enjoy it all!

We had a great day trip to Mont-Blanc, Chamonix and Mer De Glacé. Tour included all transport costs. Niels was a great guide and was very engaging with his participants. I would recommend to anyone interested in visiting these locations for the days. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather which also enhanced the experience.
