This Boat tour is operated by: PH Whale Watch, you will discover the amazing underwater world of Champagne Reef and Scotts Head. Between the two snorkeling sites you can relax in the hot water springs at Bubble Beach.
Its a very Private tour with a maximum of 8 people on the boat. Tour is scheduled to be back on time at your Cruise Ship. This is a Government Approved Tour (Safe in Nature), so you are also able to do this tour when you come in by Cruise Ship. People from the Cruise ship in Roseau we pickup directly at the ship by boat. All other we meet at the ferry terminal in roseau. We do not pickup from hotels or any other places.

Champagne Beach
Experience the spectacle of Dominica’s rainbow-coloured seascape, during this very private boat tour. Named for the bubbling waters rising from volcanic thermal springs on the ocean floor, Champagne Reef attracts diving and snorkeling enthusiasts from around the world. The reef’s plummeting cliffs and towering volcanic formations perfectly match Dominica’s massive mountains and gorges. Whether diving or snorkeling, you’ll encounter a dazzling explosion of colours. The reef holds a paint box of sponges with names like pink azure, red rope, yellow tube, and purple vase. Matching the color and variety of the sponges and crinoids is a fascinating range of undersea creatures — octopus, rays, trumpet fish, parrotfish, frogfish, batfish, hawksbill turtles, seahorses, sea snakes, and eels. You may even encounter the remains of the 17th century Spanish shipwreck. After this snorkeling tour from about 45 minutes well go to the beach for a cold drink.

Between our two snorkeling sites we will take a rest in the hot sea springs at Bubble Beach near the village of Soufriere.

5.00Great trip on small boat. It was just my wife and I the two tour guides. We were apprehensive as we could see we were going to be the only customers and were going to cancel. Glad we didn’t. Snorkel time. Got gear from guide and really struggled with getting water in the mask. Thought it was my fault. Guide in the water with us took off his mask and made me take his. “I see this every day, In want you to have a good experience”. I was very impressed with that!!! When we went back to the boat I heard him tell the other guide the mask has a leak.
Great day in beautiful Dominica with wonderful guides.

5.00We couldn't have asked for a better day and better excursion. Selo and Brittany were terrific and very informative. Picked us right right at the cruise terminal. Would 10/10 recommend and do again.

5.00We took the Champagne Beach tour and had an amazing time! Definitely do this - lots of fun and a beautiful experience! Having a guide with us made it so much better. He showed us all the tricks of hot sand, heated water, and where to get a delicious drink.

5.00We are a family of 4. Had the boat to ourselves and Selo. had a perfect day on the water. We had a first time snorkeler with us and Selo was wonderful with her - very patient and reassuring! He was so informative about all the sea life we were seeing. was even diving down to expose more for us to see! Champagne Bay was super cool to snorkel in - a don't miss while in Dominica! We saw sea life we have never seen before and did see a turtle from the surface! I would highly recommend this trip while on island.

5.00I am a little late to the party, leaving this review in April 2025 while we had that tour in December 2024 but the that doesn’t change the fact it was amazing. We got lucky it was only 2 of us, me and my wife, so I am little biased. The guides were knowledgeable, patient, and super friendly. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay in Dominica.

5.00Small boat ride with a great view of the island. Tour guides were knowledgeable and personable. Equipment in great condition. We saw sea turtles and an eel in addition to the champagne reef and bubble beach. Nice little bar at bubble beach too. Soufriere is gorgeous!

5.00Brittany and Selo were fantastic! They personalized the tour and pointed out some creatures we had never seen before. The Champagne bubbles were very unique and Selo was able to capture the Hawksbill we saw at our second stop on video for us to remember always. We highly recommend this tour.

5.00Britney & Selo were the best crew ever, they were SO friendly, offered lots of great insight on their island & took exceptional care of us! We really liked the personal, small group experience they offer over cruise ship excursions. There were 3 in our group & 2 additional singles who we enjoyed spending the afternoon with. Snorkeling was great; fish, turtles & those “Champagne bubbles”!! They accommodated our cruise schedule by starting the tour a little early & getting us back to the ship in time without sacrificing time in the sea. Thank you for the best excursion on our 11 day cruise!

5.00The guides were wonderful. We so enjoyed the entire experience. The snorkeling was perfect and the water was warmed by the steam from the volcanoes. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
