5.00We were collected from the port as planned. It was a fair walk to the meeting point as we chose not to pay the additional $25 the port charges for access. The lagoon was interesting watching the Oyster Pickers. We the travelled to Danang via the pass, stopping at an old bunker on the way, which was very interesting. On the outskirts of Danang we watched some marble sculpting and then moved on to the Basket boat and our guide for the boat make it very interesting… we watched a fisherman cast their net and also cast our own net before returning to the village. Lunch was waiting for us, it was at a cookery school / restaurant… we looked at the food and there was so much. The cook talked to us about the food and talked us through how it was eaten in Vietnam another part of the experience. Food was a sure 10 out of 10! The afternoon consisted of a guided tour by Lee around old town Hoi An… amazing! So much information and a good feel about the place. Lee took us to places of significance that we would have passed without his knowledge. We will certainly be returning. Lee our guide and Thinh our driver were both great and made it an exceptional day. Value for money and we will definitely recommend.
