All samples were expertly narrated by our guide with details on the geographic source within Crete of each sample or course as well as how each fit into the typical family’s meal.

5.00So much fun! Very educational as we started at a cheese shop, hit two bakeries, then a “grocery store” for various tastings all before dinner. Do not eat before this tour! Like, maybe, for a day or two! The food was wonderful. Our guide amazing. Highly recommend.

5.00We were lucky enough to be the only ones for this tour. We ate so much food. We went to a local produce place and tired lots of things and bought lots to take home too. There was a mix of cakes, small eats, delicious meals and cheese and sweets. It was great. I was so full by the end of the evening. I recommend having a very light lunch.

5.00My husband and I really enjoyed our evening food tour of Chania. Kostas was a great guide providing lots of information about the food, restaurants and shops we visited as well as context and history of Chania, Crete and Greece. We felt like this tour gave us a bit of insider knowledge about the area that made the rest of our stay in Chania that much nicer.

5.00The experience was well-coordinated with opportunities for sightseeing and shopping. The small servings of cheese, olive oil, honey, and alcohol served as a delightful prelude to a wonderful family-style meal. Afterwards, a delicious dessert was enjoyed before we departed. Kostas, our guide, is full of life and clearly has a passion for what he does. His enthusiasm and joy were truly infectious.

5.00Kostas was the best food tour guide we’ve had. His energy was high and his love for Cretan food was contagious. He took us to a few lovely spots for local cheese, pastries, olive oils, liquors, topped with a feat of traditional Greek mezze. We also met some lovely travelers in the group. Also, I have some food allergies and Kostos was extremely attentive to the details and made sure that everything was safe for me. He even bought me an extra special dessert since I couldn’t eat the baklava. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Crete or Chania.
