This is a private tour with a 7-seater van for a maximum 6 guests.
Chania since the ancient times was a melting pot of civilizations and cultures, each invader and new town resident leaving its mark on history, architecture and culture. Our guides are fluent in English, locals, know this place intimately and love sharing the knowledge.
We will drive around the city and visit various sites for 2 hours, and for 1 hour more you could wander around the picturesque alleys of Chania old town. Will explain the culture and traditions and how they formed the modern day city of Chania. We are not allowed to walk or guide in the old town with travellers, because our license is for a driving tour.
Then we will drive through a scenic gorge to an amazing restaurant and have lunch for 3 hours total. Everything is farm to table, cooked on fire and eating is an experience. Lunch is not included in tour price. We will drive through a road with panoramic view of Chania and Souda bay.

Chania Old Town
Will drop you off at Talos square on the west side of Chania old town, which is more authentic and unspoiled. You will have around an hour available to walk around on your own in the picturesque alleys, explore the town or shop.
Lighthouse of Chania
Chania lighthouse is the oldest light house in the Mediterranean, built in 1864. The lighthouse is the main landmark of Chania. The tower is 21m high and is built on a stone base, located at the end of the old harbour's pier opposite to the fortress of Firkas. Visitors are not allowed to enter the lighthouse. Chania lighthouse was first constructed by the Venetians around 1600, destroyed in the siege of Chania and it took its final form, in the shape of a minaret, during the Egyptian occupation. It was restored in 1996.

5.00We took this tour as a day trip from our cruise ship and it met absolutely our expectations! Our tour guide Petro was so thorough and knowledgeable about the history of Chania and then he took us to this unique mountain restaurant! It was the best tour that we could have picked in Chania!

5.00We did this tour with our guide Petro and the historical background and the Old Town’s beauty left us in awe! It was a unique experience just walking around the Old Town. Then we carried on and had fabulous lunch on the wood at this amazing mountain restaurant!

5.00Incredible trip and service from beginning to end! Petro picked us up promptly with an exclusive tour of Old Town Chania. He was so knowledgeable and informative and fun! Plenty of time for beautiful pictures and a special Greek coffee then off to a drive through the mountain villages and a fabulous local lunch that was heavenly and with amazing local dishes family style and lots of conversations and laughter with locals. Don’t miss this special tour in Greece.

5.00The tour gave us so much insights to the history of Chania and the drive through the gorge gave us views of the beautiful nature of Crete and the restaurant in the mountains was amazing in variety and taste. Everything was cooked on woodfire and with most amazing host. Peter our guide was less than amazing with his knowledge of history and passion. Definitely recommend this tour if one wish to experience a unique Cretan experience.
